My DD was quite obviously not ready to come out at so called "40 weeks" (she was actually 38 weeks if we calculate based on O date).

1pinplease, between the 20th and the 27th is a whole week. Do you know on what cycle day you ovulated?
No, I don't unfortunately Cosmosis but I would hazard a guess at between cycle day 18-23. Only because I've been using a couple of apps to help track & understand my cycle, (the whole initial reason I was on this site!) and they have differing dates (due to my weird cycle) so my guess is a mixture of those.
The difference is not a super big deal to me as I'm sure dating scans will clarify a few things but I would like any insights if you have any!
I appreciate you having a look at this regardless*

So I'm a 6 days a week exerciser. Is it true that I can continue my usual exercise at this stage of pregnancy and do no harm? I normally do I fast pace weight program (not super heavy lifting). My heart rate gets up pretty high though. Is that ok?

I was told that you can continue doing any exercise you were doing before you got pregnant at any stage. Just listen to your body and make modifications as you need to. Also remember that this is not the time to push yourself athletically.

No problem So what I would do in your situation is stay in the middle. If you O'd between CD18 and 23, I would mark it to be CD20 or 21. If you wrote down symptoms and other details, it may help you choosing the date.

The LMP calculation is based on a 28 day cycle and assumes that women ovulate 14 days after they begin their period and they count pregnancy from the first day of your cycle. This means that at CD14 you are already 2 weeks pregnant even if you haven't ovulated. If you ovulate on CD21, you are already 3 weeks pregnant.

I personally shave off that two week discrepancy by marking my LMP as my Ovulation date as many other women do. Even then, there is no guarantee that baby will come at 40 weeks. Baby may arrive at 38 to 42ish weeks. So in my case, I should expect baby's arrival from Mid October to mid November.

Here is a very nicely written explanation on due date calculations:https://spirited-mama.com/tag/parikhs-formula/

I say, continue what you are doing at your discretion hun I'm actually in the middle of making a new eating and exercise plan for myself. Pregnancy is a fantastic time to make changes!

Me too! I am switching up my cardio routine and adding weight lifting back in. I have to exercise in pregnancy otherwise I go nuts!

I also have short labor and easy deliveries, and I cannot help but think the exercise and diet I've done throughout have contributed to that.

That's a really nice piece Cosmosis, thank you very much. I'd dabbled a bit online looking for clarification and that sums it all up quite nicely!

Ok. So I've totally got to share my cheese spread I just made- it is SO yummy! It's 1.5 cups shredded cheese of your choice, 1 cup ranch dressing (I chose bolt house ranch made with yogurt to make it low fat but SUPER yummy!), 1/2 cup nitrate/phosphate free bacon, and 4 green onions (just the green parts only). Refrigerate before eating. Lasts 1 week...haha! OMG! This is SO good! Perfect for my sliced sweet bell peppers!!
