It's 1230am here and I'm so nervous for my prenatal appt and possibly getting my Panorama results tomorrow that I can't sleep So I decided to pull out the laptop and actually give a proper reply to you ladies!



Yay that's so exciting!! We just redid the boys' room with our tax returns this past spring and got them a bunk bed, they love it! It's so much fun picking out the stuff for their room. What theme are you doing for her room / what theme is the nursery?



I LOVE the name Winter! It's always been one of my favorite girls names. Autumn too. DH doesn't like either of them though, sadly. And funny enough I loved the name Ember as well! I had mentioned that one to DH back in 2016 before we knew that DS2 was a boy... he vetoed it instantly because he "did stuff" with a girl named Ember when he was younger and said that's all he would be able to think of. MEN... lol!

And the hyper sense of smell has been with me since day one!! Honestly since 7dpo.. no joke, haha. It's always the earliest symptom for me and I've def still got it. And yep, lot's of smells make me nauseous! I can't even open the fridge right now without holding my breath because some of the leftovers in there are SO strong.



I love the name Evi and that's so sweet to honor your friend like that! [emoji813]



I LOVE that name!! I actually just saw it in a name post on reddit and loved it so much, I mentioned it to DH as a possible middle name! He vetoed it unfortunately. He's really picky, apparently. I think it's beautiful, though.



YUP same with the smells! I remember a couple weeks back DH went to kiss me and I recoiled in horror because all I could smell was the peanuts on his breath, from a Snickers ice cream bar that he had eaten at least 30 minutes earlier... lol!! I can smell the shampoo on my kids' hair days after it's been washed! Pregnancy nose is wild. I can't look at food I don't like/can't tolerate either... We went out to dinner for our anniversary on Saturday night, DH got filet mignon (his favorite!) and I literally had to look away or put my hand up when he was eating bites! LOL. Just the sight of the beef made a gag rise!

As for us... I'm pretty sure we've finalized our name choices! I originally wanted Zoey for a girl, it's been my #1 for YEARS. However, it's rising in popularity now, I think it's in the top 100 in the US, and one of DS1's classmates is named Zoey. I don't like popular names. So, our frontrunner is now Mylene! [emoji813] It's pronounced like my-LEAN. If anyone's seen the show The Get Down on Netlflix, Mylene Cruz is one of the main characters on the show! It's uncommon, and I loved it from the minute I first heard it. It also flows perfectly with our last name. We were unsure on boys, but I happened across another name post on reddit talking about names people came to like from fictional characters, and one of them was Miles -- from Miles Morales on Into the Spiderverse. I mentioned it to DH and he agreed too! It also flows really well with our last name. It's not 100% set it stone, but so far it's the only boy name that we've both really liked and agreed on. I also love that our frontrunners are Mylene and Miles, almost like two different variations of the same name.

Crossing ALL of my fingers and toes that we get our Panorama results tomorrow! I don't think my heart can take anymore waiting

HLM, hoping for your sake that you hear something today but you know we are all waiting to hear too!! Lol!

For DD1 room, we will be doing like a floral woodland type theme. I’m honestly horrible at interior design so really I’m just picking things I like that seem to match. I’m stuck on these prints on amazon so that’s kind of what I’ve been working around.

Sorry for all the individual replies, its just slightly easier that way!

I've definitely had an increased sense of smell since before I knew I was pregnant! It's what made me think I might be!

We told our eldest son about the baby at the weekend as he was worried that I'd had to go for a lay down, my nausea was horrendous on Saturday. He's thrilled but keeps saying he wants the baby to be a girl [emoji51] Hope we don't disappoint him! He'll be happy either way, I'm sure

Full blown meltdown today guys. My emotions are running wild. I'm trying to buy a new car, plus my parents are in town. I heard they stopped at one of the only restaurants I can eat at, without offering me food and I just lost it. Am I crazy?!!

Just a super quick update, I’ll come back and reply to the rest later... just left my prenatal appointment, STILL NO PANORAMA RESULTS. I’m so upset. I feel silly being upset, but at the same time, what the heck!!

My midwife told me to call the office at 10am tomorrow to see if they’ve gotten the results yet, and if not, it’s early enough in the day that they can call the Natera rep and ask what’s up...

And now I’m heading back home to log back into work for an hour and try to take my mind off of it... [emoji20]

Disneylover- definitely not crazy! I agree with hakrueg, the hormones make us way more emotional for sure. I’ve lost my sh*t over some things that normally would barely bother me. Especially over food, that would really make me upset too!

I was actually 0-3 at my midwife appt today. [emoji24] First, still no panorama. Second, couldn’t hear the heartbeat with the Doppler. [emoji20] Third, I really wanted to get my flu shot while I was already in the office, but the office was out! [emoji30]

Not being able to hear the heartbeat made me really nervous. I asked her if that was bad, she said no. First she said that you usually can’t hear until 12w+, but tried anyway since I’ll be 12w tomorrow. Also, I have a retroverted uterus (it points towards my back instead of my front, which I already know), AND she said my c/s scar from DS2 is right where the top of my uterus is now. So she said the retroverted uterus plus the extra scar tissue from the c/s just made it where it wasn’t possible to hear it. [emoji3525] But my uterus is definitely growing, I could feel it as she was moving the Doppler all around haha! So at least that’s reassuring. Plus I have my NT scan on Friday afternoon so at least I’ll get to see baby again then!

She also agreed with me that we should definitely skip out on my mother in law’s pre thanksgiving get together that she always does the weekend before thanksgiving. This year she’s narrowed it down to “immediate family only” ... which still ends up being 20+ people from 7 households under one roof with no masks or distancing! She said definitely not worth the risk for ANY of us to go, and that even if only DH and/or the boys went, it would be the same as if I went too. None of our families know I’m pregnant yet, so I’m HOPING that will soften the blow a bit when we tell her WHY we’re not going... but it made me feel better to hear from the midwife too that we should skip.

Anyone else thought about what you’ll be doing for holiday/family gatherings with covid?

Okay, ladies. Surprise of my life! 1am, finished watching my show, I said “let me check my Natera portal for funsies before I go to bed!” ... AND MY PANORAMA RESULTS WERE POSTED!!!!!!

Ran upstairs and woke up DH. Shaking. Most important: low risk!! THANK THE UNIVERSE.

Now, the part everyone has been waiting for:

Count me in the 2020 pink sway OPPOSITES! It hasn’t hit yet... I think I am still in shock. It’s now 130am, not even sure how I’ll be able to sleep tonight...
