so yesterday was a bit of a disaster in the cals and fat department, but we had friends over for a BBQ and it was one of their birthdays. As they are vegetarian we made it a vegetarian BBQ so at least the fat was coming from cake and cheese.
7.00am - coffee with whole milk
8.00am - coffee with whole milk
12.00pm - omelette with 2 eggs and mushrooms cooked with frylight spray. I had this because atomic has recommended that I try to have 4 eggs a week now. Also I wasnt sure what time we would eat with my friends and I couldnt have fasted for much longer. Having this pure protein meal would have had little to no effect on blood sugar and stopped me eating crisps.
2.00pm - my friends arrived and we had some prosecco to toast the birthday girl. I had a few olives in chilli and garlic. I opened some chardonnay (had the whole bottle over the course of the day).
3.30pm - 2 crusty white bakery rolls, some lurpak butter, a dragonfly mushroom and garlic burger (Ocado: Dragonfly Gluten Free Organic Mushroom & Garlic Burger 200g(Product Information)), a portabello mushroom, a halloumi burger slice, some heinz garlic sauce. Some salad leaves and beetroot.
4.30pm - a cup of rooibos tea (havent had this since I started swaying due to high antioxidants but one cup wont do any harm), 2 slices of coffee and walnut cake and one slice of carrot cake!!!!
8.00pm - another slice of carrot cake and finished off the wine...............
bad bad bad....2800 cals, 105g fat (44%) and 62g protein. Thank god for the gym!

Didn't track my weekend but it was bad. Stayed veggie but everything else was pretty over limits, too much and too often.
Today:
7.00 Coffee with milk
10.00 2 slices of toast with spread cheese (7% fat)
12.00 Vegetable soup (like a veggie goulash) and bread croutons.
17.30 Sushi dinner date with dh. Will mix veggies and a few with salmon (totally 11 pices). Probably a glass of wine.
Totals: 1021 cals, 37 g protein and 30 g fat (29%).
A bit low in calories, but I think it's necessary to even out the weekend.Gorgeous4

mumofsix that gives you loads for dinner!! you can have 20g fat and 30g protein lol you could have seabass (or any other white fish because its low in fat and will have 20g protein for a small serving) veggies and potatoes and still be within limits wow i would love to be in that position for a meal
- remember with the vast majority of veggies, the protein and fat is completely free, fill your boots!!!
if you want to be good and stay vegetarian you have even more yummy options - how about a veggie stir fry, soup and salad, veggie pie with lots more veggies, pasta bake with veggies and garlic bread.............mmmmm im making myself hungry and its only 930, I cant eat for another 2-3 hours!
