I'm sorry you are going through this. I am praying for you starting right now Tiggerian!!
I can imagine how hard it must be to try and relax. One thing that helped me relax a lot with my first were the Hypnobabies tracks. They are designed to help you program yourself to keep relaxed during pregnancy and childbirth to have a painless natural epi free birth, but I am sure they would help you keep your body relaxed through these weeks. They are basically guided imagery and self hypnosis tracks for relaxation, if you are interested I could find a way to share mine with you.
Our minds are powerful things, just keep visualizing your healthy baby and contractions stopping.
I send you a big virtual hug and my prayers will stay with you until you deliver a healthy baby.

They could technically do a cerclage now, but there's a massive gap in the care in my trust. Between 16 and 20 weeks I belong to no one - no consultant, no department. It took me 3 days to convince someone just to see me because the departments and doctors kept throwing me around. This doctor only saw me because I broke down in tears and couldn't speak through the sobs out of pure desperation.
There's a very good chance they won't intervene before it gets so bad there's no return and thats pretty damn scary! I'm seeing my regular doctor on tuesday, and hopefully it'll have stopped by then, but until it stops completely and I reach the 31st Oct for my next scan where they've promised to check my cervix I think its going to be a struggle.
At the moment we're just trying to keep positive. We're joking around that this must be another boy, causing as much trouble as his brothers do in the day time. To be honest, I don't care if it is a boy or a girl anymore - I just want this to stop and for Roo to come out safe and sound in March!2005

Tiggerian, I'm so sorry you are going through this! Have you put yourself on bed rest?

Tiggerian- I know how you are feeling. I had contractions with my second son starting at 14 weeks and they said they couldn't do anything until I was 24 weeks. I put myself on bedrest and took some magnesium supplements to stop the contractions. Sometimes you have to take you and your baby's health into your own hands. I realized that if the doctors didn't consider my baby a baby until 24 weeks, then I had to protect my child myself.
I'm sorry you are going through this. It is very scary and the unknown is the worst! I hope everything turns out alright for you and your baby! You are in my prayers.2009

I'm on bed rest as much as I can be, but with two children to take care its not always possible, especially as I have to pick up my eldest from school everyday. Its not ideal, but at the moment it can't be different.
Our home is a mess - and that won't change. Baby trumps my urge to deep clean! It annoys me, and it does add to the stress a little bit, but my partner is helping out loads and doing what he can to alleviate. He's even bought plastic cups and cutlery and paper plates so I won't have to do dishes, lol! He is sweet really :P2005

Don't worry about the cleaning, that can wait! Do you have family or friends who help out for a bit? I know it's virtually impossible to properly rest when you've got little ones to care for
AFM, CVS in just a few minutes. I told DH to wait with DD outside the room, I don't want to risk the doctor getting distracted and making any wrong moves. Last time I had DH holding my hand through it so I'll have to be a big girl lol.

Oh no T, I hope everything is OK. At my 16 week gender scan she said that I was contracting but apparently it is normal? I am only getting the odd tightening feeling.
Nothern-I always try to follow your post and read your blog on Evelyn, I really hope that it is another girl. Life is so unfair taking your daughter away from you. It worries me that your 16 week gender scan showed everything fine.
I have my 20 week scan detailed scan on the 14th. My little man is always giving me little kicks now tooxx
