I went round my grandparents house today. My tummy is so bloated at the moment so I spent ages this morning trying to find a baggy outfit that wouldn't raise suspicion (they know I'm trying so it wouldn't take a genius to work it out). When I got there they were all congratulating me on my pregnancy!! My Blooming mother... I can't trust her to keep anything to herself! Grrrrrrr I'm so cross

I feel even more worried about miscarrying now.

I know increased fertility apparently sways boy.. so just curious to hear what your thinking. My ONLY hope for this pregnancy to maybe be a girl is that it took us 5 months to conceive and I finally did on a delayed O cycle. Just curious to hear your ladies stories
DS 1 was a honeymoon oops lol (best mistake ever!), we tried for 1 year for DS 2 but I didn't realize I had a luteal phase defect-after getting on progesterone we got pregnant on the first try, this pregnancy took 6 months to conceive while on progesterone. Fingers crossed for us!

I feel the same way! I make the mistake of telling my mom since I found out on her birthday. Well now she keeps reminding me that my dad still doesn't know and smiling at me strangely. I know shes going to spill the beans! I thought it would be nice to talk to her about it but now I'm worried of disappointing her if I miscarry.

Smiley I agree. I wanted my mum to know so she could support me. I mean if anything bad was to happen I would want her to know anyway. But I didn't tell her so she could blab it to everyone. Not only am I scared of losing this one but it has also robbed me of the joy of telling them myself WHEN I was more comfortable that everything was ok with the baby.

2 of my friends had girls after first month trying and one had a girl after two months of trying. But then again most of my friends have girls!! I'm the boy maker within my group of friends. :-)
No, I certainly don't think this means you're having another boy. DH and I were just talking in the car yesterday the usual about how we don't even assume there is a possibility this could be a girl. I then went on to say that the only thing different this time was that it took us a while to conceive and our boys were first month (with like 10 attempts that month haha). I started listing off everyone we knew with babies, and everyone that got pregnant right away had a boy, and the others that took a few months had girls. That got me wondering if it was just coincidence or actually something to it. I know atomic says that decreased fertility seems to sway pink.. but that would also count for luteal phase defect like you and I both had.. so I still think there is a shot for both of us just because of the defect alone! (that being said I still can't fathom that my body could produce a girl, so I still assume boy!)

I definitely think this looks promising for you then! I had no idea I had a LPD until we started trying so I would have been in the same situation as your DS2 if it wasn't for me decided to chart. I never got it corrected, I just moved O earlier with lunaception by a few days and that's the month we conceived - CD18 O (I always have 28 day cycles). I have no idea if this even helps our chances, but I was just curious to hear everyones past experiences!

That really stinks that she stole your moment but I'm sure she was just too excited and proud to hold it in. Just think, in a few months you will get the joy of announcing the sex of the baby to everyone!

3boys I know how you feel my mother is the same she blabed to pretty much everyone and when I mean everyone even our nosey neighbors!!!!! I was astonished and really pissed at her but I felt bad couldn't tell her off to much she was so excited lol..

I had a question for you ladies I'm planning on booking an early scan once I get to England, would you guys now how accurate it is finding gender out at 16 weeks the place I found offer gender scan fr 16-24 weeks.. But I wasn't sure how reliable it was or should I wait for 17 and a bit weeks? Lol would that make a huge difference?? I just don't wanna have to go to the scan and not be told for whatever reason.
