my nerves are thru the roof. I'm starting to get a sick feeling in my stomach and anxious about how badly I want to hear pink. I wish the darn geneticist wouldn't keep me hanging on like this

Ribena - I know!! Everyone I've talked to have told me they got round the clock care available to them, if not to go in - then at least someone they can phone up and talk to! But here all I've heard is "We've had to make cuts" or "Oh but we need to save money somewhere." DOes it HAVE to be my baby!? Are we cutting the budget for our children already before they are BORN!? It doesn't sit right with me at all!

and thank you all so much! Its starting to dawn on me and I've been bursting into tears all evening (from just being overwhelmed with emotions). I thought I'd lost every chance of ever having a little girl,so now she just better stick it and hang on in there until March so we can get her out!!

Seriously? How can they hold my test result hostage like this??? I've been trying to find out since Monday and she just won't return my calls. I tried calling the regular ob office because they were supposed to be sent a copy of the results.
the moronic medical assistant gave me a talking to about how you don't find out until 20 weeks. She wouldn't listen to me or look to see if it was in my chart. Obviously she didnt understand what test I had and what I was asking about. Who else can I call? I don't even know which lab it what sent to or I'd call the lab

You have a RIGHT to know what's in your charts - That's how it is. it's YOUR medical records, so I'd call up that assistant again and say either you give me the results of the test or let me speak to your supervisor. You've PAID for that test..! I'd be furious!

DH thinks I should leave a message for the doctor to call me back directly but I don't want to piss her off by bothering her with something that's not urgent or health related.
I'm out of ideas.

I've decided to report them to the insurance company. We'll see if that gets me anywhere

OMG that was wild, my heart's still pumping hard!
I spoke to the insurance rep who called on my behalf with me on the line. I guess they were avoiding me with caller ID because she got right through! The geneticist says that I only wanted to know the gender and she's been calling people back who have real medical concerns. Mmmmkay so she admitted to withholding the information from me.
Long story short she said its a girl!!! Im excited and relieved for now but (and call me paranoid) a part of me thinks she could be messing with me so I'm waiting to see it in writing before I announce it IRL. I asked for it to be mailed and she said she would...lets hope she does.
