pray- don't feel down! You didn't hear boy! And, I think though they wanted to tell you pink, they also want to be more confident. You said yourself, your boys were obvious, and this isn't. Lean on that clue! Your nub is girly, for sure! I feel like my girls nubs looked like yours- they were never perfectly flat or parallel. Have hope!

Also, I think I am going to have to have a scan at 10+6 and desperately hoping I don't see a nub because I don't want to even think about it (though I know it is early). I am considering not wearing my glasses while he does it so that I can peek.

PFP, I agree with Spicy, I think they wanted to say girl but didn't want to be hold accountable in case it isn't, but they were leaning girl as well. I find boys nubs usually very straight forward (in the literal sense and easier to guess, usually the tricky ones turn out to be girlies. But, believe me, even if you had got the straighter nub in the world, you would still be obsessing, mine was pretty girlie and I got no boy guesses and I still had trouble sleeping thinking about it and convincing myself not to trust a nub. I have a good feeling on this one, but unfortunately, only time will tell for sure. Maybe you can post a skull picture as well?

Even if you see one don't trust anything at 10+6, definitely too early. I hope you see lots of swimming and movement instead, that's always fun!

I really hate nubs, for the obsession reasons! I couldn't get into my doctor until late... I know that it isn't reliable at that point, but anything is going to make me think it's a girl!

Thanks Spicy -- and thanks for telling me your girls were not perfectly parallel.
The baby was also arching its spine a lot and might have thrown the angle off (so I try to tell myself. Do you still have 12 wk shots of your girls? If so, could you post them?

Thanks Aidansmum- I think you are right. Everyone was saying that could be a girl, but they can't say for sure. The doc's know what I've been threw, and I don't think they want to tell me girl unless its absolutely positive.
I don't have a skull shot! Those are the only 2 pics they gave me. I was so focused on getting nub shots I didn't even ask for pics of my baby. Oops!

I keep holding onto the fact that this one looked so much more small than my boys - and much less meaty. Plus my symptoms being sooooo different. I am over 12 wks now and still feeling so nauseous with still so many food adversions. Its terrible. I still have no energy -- I am just not myself at all.
These things make me think its going to be a girl - god I just hate waiting...

Hi ladies, I am headed for bed but wanted to give you all a small update. After my trip to the Embassy they had me go over to the Dr's office to get checked out. Turns out that the placenta is really low so every time I have a contraction is moves down and I bleed. He said there is nothing to worry about and until the placenta moves I will continue to bleed and just monitor things. Other than that everything looks good, I managed to get a video through my phone and posted in on my thread in the u/s forum!!

menic, my husband works for the State Department and is in the Foreign Service so we are here in Africa for 3 years. Before Africa we were in Canada for 3 years.

PFP- I don't have any nub shots, but I know what I clearly saw in the US. They were very nubby girls and both at 13 weeks. I think it was more angled with DD1, so we were on the fence about that one (and both were surprised at birth). That is why I don't like nubs- because the whole angle thing is really tricky.
