Twinmom2, I have an apt hursday with my OB, and I think she’ll be putting me on maternity leave. Luckily in the state of California, we’re legally allowed up to 17 weeks pregnancy disability that doesn’t affect our maternity leave after delivery. ThanknGod!

Thank you Ellirosanne! My dh actually took off work for this appointment. It sort of shocked me. Lol he says he is saving his days for when the baby is here.

Ellirosanne and others looking for belly bands- do they help support the weight of baby? I had consultant app today and I mentioned that in past 2 days I am having pain at bottom of tummy when I walk. Consultant said its just ligaments stretching and nothing to worry about. I'm wondering if a belly band will help?

On a positive note, I have reached a major milestone for me - 24 weeks woohoo!! I have reached viability stage. So Happy! Plus at scan today baby is measuring right on target. Happiness is ...!

How did you get on with your glucose test mommy? It's strange that u auto test for it in the states. Here, I've read that unless you are overweight or history of it, they don't test as standard.

Dreaming! That ligament pain hurts! I get it too in the bottom of my tummy. Thank you! I fell in love with her. Was shocked at her chunky cheeks this early at 29 weeks!
I’ll get the results tomorrow. Yes they make it mandatory here. I had to take the glucose test earlier in my pregnancy as well as I had it with my last baby. I passed it with a 40 earlier. Hoping I’ll pass it this time too as I really don’t want to deal with it this time. I’ve cut pop and only have sweets on occasion now so hoping that was enough. Just really really praying it was/is!

DreamingRainbow, That’s exactly what they do. I’ll bet it would definitely help you with those round ligament pains! I get those too, and they’re awful. Isn’t it such a huge relief to reach viability! Woohoo!!!! I’ll bet they miss a lot of GDM cases, because I’m healthy and not overweight and I have had it with 2, maybe three of my pregnancies now.

Well, I had my OB apt today and it all looked good. She went ahead and put me off of work since I work 8 hours on my feet and have hit the 28 week mark with twins. I have my growth scan tomorrow and they’ll check my cervical length. I was going to do the 3 hour test on Saturday, but since I have child care already paid for Monday, I’ll do it Monday instead so I can do family time this weekend.

Yay for being off work now! Now you can just enjoy your pregnancy without your he stress of work? Is the three hour test your glucose test? If so praying you pass it as well!

Well I failed my glucose test. That’s so frustrating. Now I have to do the three hour test next Thursday. It’s aggravating, because I don’t drink pop nor eat many sweets. ☹️
