DS1 and DS4 were posterior and DS2 and DS3 were anterior. You can tell approximately where they are because with an anterior placenta, it takes longer to feel the kicks. The placenta blocks the kicks. Usually around 20+ weeks you will feel baby kick with an anterior placenta. HTH!
I don't think placental location means anything. BUT give me that 6 week u/s so I can compare for Ramzi's theory!!! It has been right with all my boys!
Ask the tech for a TRUE Trans u/s with colored blood flow. It will show you left or right exactly.

I was sure I had an anterior placenta this time because I didn't feel any movements until 19 weeks, but I just found out it's a posterior placenta this time. I'm fairly positive that both my twin pregnancy (boys) and ds3 were anterior placentas, and they also were posterior facing babies.

Some babies are a little more laid back than others - it will happen!
My baby that moved super early and was a maniac in the womb, has been a maniac since the day he was born and NEVER stops going. He sat up at barely 5 months old and then walked at barely 7 months. o.OLast edited by atomic sagebrush; June 7th, 2012 at 11:51 AM.

My DS1 never stopped kicking me from about 15 weeks and is still a full of beans kid. He does not stop from the minute he gets up to the time he goes to bed! He is very bright and exhausts me both mentally and physically!
DS2 was so quiet and chilled in the womb and is still one of life's observers. He will watch from the side of the room before working out his plan of action! He is also super cuddly and VERY cute!
For the record, DS1 was a posterior placenta and DS2 was anterior.- January 2008,
