Thread: Rate my sups?

    The only supplements I am using is prenatals (similac) and mucinex (5 days before expected ovulation.) Sometimes i will drink green tea and take extra folic when i do drink it. The rest is focusing on diet.

    Is alkalife booster drops ok for blue sway? Just wondering since I am worried about all this lemon water and it hurting my teeth?

    Sounds good.

    Alkalife booster is at your discretion, however since some of the "magic" is supposed to come from the lemon water somehow turning alkaline in your body, I am not sure that mixing the two of them makes any sense at all. The one would just undo the other.

    I am fine with you leaving the lemon water out, but do be aware that lemon in water is not thought to cause harm to teeth. EAting straight lemons is, but one lemon in water over the course of a day (especially if you brush afterward) is not believed to cause harm https://www.thesmilecenter.com/is-le...ng-your-teeth/

    Ok please remind me how you feel on timing cuz I feel I messed up. I was doing timing but this month I got a blazing more than 24 hrs after my first positive surge. I got my first positive at 1130 in the morning on cd 11. I continually test to see if i would get a blazing but stayed equal positive. We had sex cd 12 at 6am which would put be at 18 hrs later. I continued to test throughout the day to see if it got lighter but stayed equal. I got a blazing around 430pm on cd 12 which was more than 24 hrs after my first positive. We had sex again cd 13 around 630am, on my bbt it showed ovulation dip and at night cd 13 around 1130am to cover the blazing. Fertility friend confirms ovulation on cd 13. I had an ultrasound on 3 days later and the confirmed I ovulated but can't tell me the exact date. Also previous months I have bd about 16 hrs later after positive or blazing (i didnt get blazing every month) but never got pregnant so maybe I was bding too late and missed the egg. I don't know. Did you think I still have a shot at a boy? No matter what the gender is, I pray for a healthy baby.

    I did follow with the boy diet...made sure to have protein with each meal and snack, added fruit and vegetables to my diet, full fat or 2 percent milk, red meat once daily, probiotics, similac prenatals, lemon water, alkalife pills 3x a day, green tea, extra folic acid, aviod cofee and didt coke, and use mucinex 3 or 4 days leading up to o. I also use preseed when doing bd. I did bsf 45 to 1 hr before bd for 2 out of 3 of our bd. Not sure what stress does, but my hubby and I were under lots of stress due to hurricane Irma prepations and hitting our area. What do you think? Should I worry about the timing or do you think diet is what will help? By the way I got my hpt+ on Saturday morning so I am pregnant. Any advice is appreciated!

    Well, I got 3 boys with 2 day or longer cutoffs so I am not a big believer in timing AT ALL. We have found that having 2-3 attempts in fertile window sways blue and you did have that, so regardless of timing you were in with 2, probably 3 attempts which is soooo much better than one for a boy.

    I am SO thankful you didn't get pregnant with that one attempt 16 hours after positive!! That would have been only one attempt and I'm so glad that this was the month for you. Diet looks nice too. I think you had a great attempt, and timing has been totally debunked anyway.

    It has a better combination of nutrients for a blue sway. That's all. I just like it better than the other one.

    Has anyone ever heard of CLA pills? It is... (google definition) "CLA is related to the omega-6 fatty acids, one of the two types of essential fatty acids that help the body increase metabolic rates, boost the immune system and keep cholesterol levels in check. CLA is found in dairy and animal fats, such as beef, lamb, whole milk, and eggs, but cannot be produced by the human body."

    I wonder if these would be more beneficial than EPO for a vegetarian swaying? Or is just fish oil fine?

    NO, because it's the Omega 6 fats that have been shown in studies to sway pink (and EPO has Omega 6 in it.)

    Just leave the EPO out and use vegetarian Omega 3.

    I keep reading posts about supps but can’t figure out a shortened version, what are the most important / effective supps for blue sway for hubby and I ? I don’t want to take a huge list of them x

    Multivitamins
    500 mg fish oil
    Vit D 1000 IU
    Folic acid or folate to total 2000 mcg (especially if doing any green tea)
