I think that "getting sperm count down by DTD before pos OPK" doesn't work in any reliable way (or otherwise SHettles would be a lot more successful!). The entire female repro tract is designed to keep sperm alive for a long time in there, days and days. So a guy with a high sperm count and a woman whose body was good at keeping sperm alive could easily end up with a lot of sperm even with a cutoff. Plus, the stress of trying to decide when to DTD sends your T levels skyrocketing.

I actually saw this reply now Atomic.
I have been charting my cycles, noting CM and other symptoms, like pain, and OPK. I noted that it was positive 2-3 days before O. How do I know when I Oed? I counted 14 days back ehen I got my periods. I know that LP can vary, but I have always had 28 days cycles...almost.
So earlier I have tested for 2 cycles and got pos OPK on CD 11-12 and CD 13 and Oed on CD 15 (counted back from CD1 from next cycle, dont know how accurate it is).
This time after BCP, OPK was pos on CD14, and I expreienced a lot of pain, but CM was non existing. I have not taken BBT, so I really dont know. I took one more OPK on CD 16, and it is neg. DTD on CD 14.
It is so good to read about all of you having gotten BFP after one attempt. Gives me hope. My hubby is not sure if he wants 3 kids and says we can try for 3-4 months, if BFN, then he wont try for one another
If I get 2 BFN, I am just going to add more attempts, I just want another baby more than a DD.....

I can't tell you when you ovulated without an ultrasound and/or blood tests. But if you are thinking you are Oing 2-3 days after you get a pos OPK, that's fine, just wait 8-12 hours after the night of pos OPK and then BD. (so instead of DTD that night, you would try to have your attempt the next morning.) You will still be covered if you O a bit earlier and yet your odds of conception will be up.
If you have only 3-4 months to TTC and would rather have another boy than no baby, then by all means pull out all the stops to get pg quickly.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I will try this at least for 3 months! I want a DD too bad to stop at this point, and O have worked hard too! I am sure Ai can convince DH to try for a longer period, just hoping for BFP in three months, FX!
If AF arrives, at least I will know when I ovulate when OPK is poitive, so I can move my attempt closer to O.

So just to clarify. We are doing FR, but we can only DTD once in the cycle at +Ov ? Not even early in cycle when not in fertile window?
Sorry if I sound really stupid but we have been DTD at least once early in cycle then DH has done fr until we do a attempt just before Ov. is this wrong? if so glad I am yet to get bfp as would feel awful if I have been doing it all wrong.
