I was 98 lbs when I got pg with DS1, 125 lbs with DS2 and 135 lbs with DS3.. So I don't think it's about your overall weight. I followed my sway to a T - except the dietbut I have NEVER been able to stick to a diet so I accepted that and did the sway anyway. This was our first attempt month and I'm nervous as heck! But for a much as we try, we aren't really in control! Try to relax and have fun trying!! Good luck!!!

Somewhere you had written your BMI right before I answered this thread and it was on the low side.
The point of all this is NOT to get as absolutely thin as it is possible for you to get. Your body does not gamble on pregnancy if you have no weight to spare. The female body is meant to have some extra weight, it's why our husbands can reduce the amount of beer they drink by one per day and lose 27 lbs in a month and we have to exist on Altoids and Tab for 6 months to lose that last little bit of weight - our bodies are MEANT to have some chub on them. Lose the chub, your body freaks the F out and stops ovulating.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

totally. There are women of all sizes with girls, and women of all sizes with boys. You are not guaranteed a girl if you have .001 % body fat and you are not doomed to a boy if you have junk in the trunk either.
All the point of dieting is, is to convince your body that times are a little worse than they were before, your condition is a little lower, and if you have a daughter she may be better able to survive to hand down her genes.
It is not a competition where "she who weighs the least, wins" and it has NOTHING to do with you being bigger or smaller than anyone else. Giving it to you straight here, ya gotta unplug your brain from that mentality because that sways blue WAY more than anything involving your body shape. (as per the essay I just posted)!!! Likewise! Even on my diet I am still 10kg over....I lost about 8kg though, it's gotta make a difference...ideally I should wait and lose more but I don't want to wait any longer. I don't have a lot of discipline and patience for diets and cheat all the time, so I will DTD even though it is not my `'ideal' weight. But I am prepared to pay for it, oh BOY I am

That's how I justify my swaying now rather than later, even though I am still over my ideal weight, because you see women of all shapes and all weights with boys and girls, so that can't make much of a difference, and losing some weight should do the trick other than starving yourself into anorexia before TTC. It would raise my anxiety levels and being 40, I got no time to waste either.

I know a girl who had 2 girls when I met her and was always planning to do a blue sway, but she was on the heavy side. So she kept deciding that she was going to lose weight and get into shape before starting to sway blue because she worried that she would gain too much swaying and then pregnancy. but like so many of us do, she would start off overly strictly, try to lose too much too fast eating only lean cuisine, lentils, and birch twigs or whatever, and not be able to stick to it. Then she'd be like, eh screw it swyaing doesn't work anyway, and get pg after she had just lost weight - she never lost that much, no more than 10-20 lbs max, but invariably it was conception after a strict diet and weight loss even tho she was still on the heavy side every time. Net result 5 girls, the two she started with and then the 3 that she got losing weight, planning for some big sway that never happened.
