Yes, that's fine. I would try to stay away from choc for the most part and watch the sodium in the cakes, but sweets are a good source of empty calories for those who are having trouble getting enough calories without going over their protein.

The only chocolate I've had has been white and I'm sticking to the sodium limits each day. I've never, ever had a sweet tooth - getting to quite like it now though! It's all empty calories I think!

Atomic - I just read some information which said that too much sugar raises oestrogen. Do you have any thoughts on this? Lots of 'diet' foods which are otherwise low in calories, protein and salt are sugary. How much is too much and how important is this?
Thank you x2005

(Again, this is for pink swayers!)
Yes, it is possible but if you're eating 1500-1800 calories a day on 2-3 meals, with fresh fruit and vegetables, and are either not gaining or else losing weight don't worry about this.
There are some overweight people like my MIL who eat nothing but sugar and simple carbs all day long, every hour or two she snacks on something sugary. She eats toast with jelly for breakfast, fat free cookies, Slimfast shakes, juice, Coke, Pringles, pasta, etc. She is heavy and and has eaten this way for many years and when she puts on weight it is ALL estrogen producing fat rather than muscle. She does have estrogen dominance issues like fibroids. But for those of us who are swaying for a few months, we can easily withstand a few months of more sugar than we should eat in the long term, esp. since we are eating lower calories overall.!!! I definitely miss brownies, ice cream, chocolate, candy, and MOST of all, my sweet tea!!! I'm from Alabama and all I ever drank was sweet tea! Oh how I miss my tea! I've traded that in for water with lemon, orange juice, baking soda drink, grapefruit juice, and V8!
Hope I get my BFP first try. Too bad I still won't be able to have the sweet tea!

Alexis, you CAN have tea on the blue diet! I drink TONS of tea and it is the only constant between all four boys it seems like.
