Thanks AS! So just wondering, how many days and how much time would you recommend for exercise for a couch potato type person? And would it have to be done in days in a row or broken up? For example, I am home from work 4 days in a row and then work the next 3 days in a row. Is aerobics type too much or should I just run in place (like flashdance movie..lol) being I don't have a treadmill anymore? Also, if I've already been ttc for a few months, is it too late to work this into my sway? I just ovulated the other day so still want to attempt next month too.

2011 - Matthew (who is the light of my life)
in 2013 for delivery some time in 2014
Came to this website in September 2013 hoping to sway for a girl as we have none on either side of our families (6 boys total). Diagnosed in January 2014 elevated FSH level and extremely low AFC count.
Praying and hoping God blesses me with one more healthy child whether it be another boy or a girl.
Praying my RE can help me to achieve my dream of giving my son a sibling some time soon.

Yes I'd wait till after O this month and then go for it, that will give you a solid 4 weeks.
I would aim for more along the lines of 5-7 days a week for cardio if at all possible - it's not just exercise, it's intense cardio exercise preferably 60 min. a day, 6-7 days a week is best but some peopel have gotten girls with a bit less. I do think the 60 min is more important than the 6-7 so if yoyu can only get 5 days (even 4) then that may be ok as long as you are doing the 60 min
reminder, anyone who has noweight to spare should not be doing the exercise!!! Questions??

Thanks Atomic! I think I will work that in after O this month (starting my 2WW). I think I was too strict with the diet last cycle and did not O, I dropped 10 pounds pretty quick. My BMI is 19.3, low but I guess I can still spare just a few pounds (3 or 4 lbs max). I have increased my calories just a bit this cycle (a couple of cheats at Christmas).
I totally dropped frequency this month too b/c my almost 36 yr old DH BD for 13 days straight was too much. I thought it would increase my chances of BFP, but I think it hurt us.
I am just READY to get back in the gym, I think it will help my energy levels.

Yes BD every day for 13 days is not the way to go. Not only will it really deplete a lot of guys to the point where they have nothing left to fertilize the egg, but numerous attempts in the fertile window may actually sway blue for reasons we can only guess at. I would have him do reg. release and then stick with the one attempt at pos OPK, best odds of conception and best sway.
It's your sway and you can do it however you want of course, but with BMI 19 I would NOT add in exercise. I think O is going to go missing and stay gone for awhile if you do that. Anyone who has no weight to spare should not be doing exercise, and BMI 19 IS no weight to spare, even if technically you can still shave off a lb or two, it's going to make you stop ovulating.!!! Questions??

I honestly don't know if it's ok to start exercise mid-sway or not - but we have had such spectacular results with the exercise that I think we need to take the risk in order to get the payoff.
I recommend doing as much exercise as is possible for you, and the 60 min. is more important than the number of days per week (this is my belief anyway, don't yet have data to prove it) so if possible, do 60 min a day on your days off and then either leave it on your work days or do a shorter amount of time.
While you should avoid weight lifting and kickboxing/boxing type exercises, anything else is fine. Above all else do what YOU like and will stick to. I personally think running/jogging is mighty hard on the body and I would rather see you do something a little easier. I like "Walk Away the Pounds", it's easy to learn and not overly difficult for people who are a little less fit.

Thanks AS! Funny thing is I think I may have the DVD or video for walk away the pounds that I ordered like 10 years ago! Lol. I have to be honest I just don't feel the dedication to exercising so much. I like getting my free time to catch up in things aroubd the house while ds is napping or I usually shower and wash my hair which is thick and takes time to dry and then use the straightening iron. Geesh I sound like an old complaining lady! Lol. But I'm just being honest. I know before I conceived ds I used to walk half hour in morning before work and after work bc my dog was a puppy and was told by vet to do this to get out some of her energy. However when I got preggo with ds I stopped the walking bc I felt so ill from pregnancy. Nonetheless I live on the north shore of Long Island and its so hilly here so def helped developed muscle back then. Lol. Anyway I just wanted to be honest. The girl swayers who haven't worked out have they gotten poor results in the end with getting their dg?

You definitely don't have to exercise to conceive a girl! And you can have a perfect pink sway (including exercise) and still conceive a boy. I really think you have a good if not great shot, Trishy.
Apparently my fasting was too strict and I almost didn't O this cycle. So I started eating lots (though still mostly girl diet, I have been snacking and not limiting cals), and 3 days later (this morning) I finally O'ed. CD20, eek, so late for me. I have been looking at potential natal charts (I'm into astrology) for Sep and Oct 2014 and I prefer those in Sep so I decided to try this month. My one attempt was 24 or maybe 36 hours before I actually O'ed so hopefully that's okay...time is now moving so slowly.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1
- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

If you aren't feelin' it then of course that is always your call to make. My advice stems from what works best for the population as a whole but only YOU know what is going to be best for you in your day to day life, and where you're at in terms of gender desire, etc.
Moderate exercise such as walking 30 min + a boy friendly diet sways blue, so please don't take that as evidence that exercise doesn't sway for you.
exercise success rate - 23 of 26 people who did exercise got girls. 90% success rate. For those who didn't exercise, only 59% got girls (there are 178 total sways so that is a pretty big sample size)!!! Questions??

Wow that's a huge difference with percentage between exercise swayers and non exercise swayers who got girls. I wish I could commit to exercise but just know I don't have that motivation. I am going to look later for my walk away the pounds video. Maybe if I find it it will put me in the mood to work out. However I think it's a VHS tape and I only have a VCR in my basement whereas I'd want to work out in my living room instead.
Oh no I know back when I walked the dog each morning and night I was def eating a boy diet. Hamburgers, buffalo chicken pizza few nights a week, fresh squeezed oj with breakfast with a half waffle and maple syrup 4 mornings out of the week and weight was fluctuating and when I conceived I was on higher end of weight fluctuation by like 3 pounds. I ate out at restaurants often bc didn't cook and had no responsibilities bc no kids. So def my lifestyle was very boy friendly. I'm trying very hard now in 2ww to skip breakfast (especially bc I was so naughty around Xmas). I even started adding a little alcohol in a couple nights per week after my son goes to bed. Like a few sips of cosmopolitan or a premixed drink called kinkie which honestly I think tastes terrible! Lol. I am such a lightweight with drinking that after 5 sips I'm buzzed so this is def a change for my lifestyle. Lol. Also bad migraines this month so took more fioricet than usual. I could only hope this all helps me. Just worry about birth defects but fioricet I would need to take swaying or not swaying. I can't deal with migraine pain for three days straight! Alcohol is a huge change for me bc I find it usually triggers migraines but if its temporary I can handle it! I already have my New Year's Eve planned out with little bit of alcohol. Lol.
I know I keep saying it but thank you for your input and help. Appreciate it.

Thanks for the info. While id like to think I have a good shot at a girl bc of diet I did terrible days leading up to Xmas day and I ovulated in Xmas day! I just cheated so much for like 4 days in a row. I'm so happy the cookies are gone now. Just pray if this is my month that all the cheats didn't ruin a shot at a girl for me. I'm in 2 ww now and skipping brekkie in hopes it helps me.
Wow sorry to hear o was so delayed! That stinks. I'm finding since I've changed my eating habits I either o at same time or a couple days earlier. Although I've noticed over last year that my cycle was changing anyway.
Hope this month is your month. I know I'd like a September birthday for a child bc then it starts getting cold out in New York and my husband will not let me have birthday celebrations in our house bc of younger nephews being disrespectful to our furniture and I just don't have a large house. So ds bday is in July and we have it outside in yard. Was hoping if we had another child their birthdays wouldn't be too far apart in months so I could combine a party (aside from first bday of course). Another reason is bc I also have party catered and spend few hundred on food and beer so if we can combine to once a year rather than 2x a year to save money it would help. But really I would like a September baby. Also November and December are so hectic with holidays but whenever god decides to bless me with another baby will be. Can you tell I have OCD? Lol.
Good luck to you. Hope you get a bfp this month.
