Ultimately you have to decide what you think is best for you! I now it is hard.

Awww Hitme I see your issue. I agree that it's totally up to you. You'll have plenty of support either way. After my son, i breastfed almost 3 years, and it took AF about 2 years to come back. Crazy. So after my attempt in June, I'm guessing I won't be able to attempt again for years because of the same reason. Luckily I have time to spare, I'm on the edge of 28. Just do what you think is best for your family. 3 months doesn't seem like long if you usually only have to attempt once, but Atomix wouldn't give advice she didn't feel strongly about.

I know she wouldn't - I've seen her give the same advice to others in other posts. 2 years hey? Holy smokes!!!! Well I've just looked at our calendars and we can do 8-10 but not six weeks bc Dh is away (most likely) when we'd be doing our attempt.

Sodium probably does nothing whatsoever for a sway and most of us have totally dropped that aspect of it and gotten girls that way. I got my 4th boy limiting sodium and my girl with both DH and I eating it semiprofessionally LOL. I'm working on an essay about it but the idea that it does anything for a sway at all is, as the Brits say, utter rubbish. It simply cannot work for the reason you yourself have already witnessed - your body does not "like" to have low or high sodium and so it either absorbs or excretes more to keep the level in your body exactly the same. We have had people do the "old school" sway diets taking tons of minerals and avoiding others for several weeks, had bloodwork done before and afterwards and found no change, in a couple cases their levels actually went UP after several weeks of limiting sodium.
NO ONE should ever ever ever completely cut salt for a sway. YOu can DIE from doing that. Your body needs sodium to live and the barest minimum is 700-1000 mg a day. most of us, even those limiting sodium are eating more than that (usually 1200-1500). It is next to impossible to lower sodium that low, it makes sticking to a sway diet exceedingly difficult and while I do keep it in the mix because it's possible and not harmful, it's not my preference that anyone really follow that aspect of the diet.!!! Got my plan last night and I'm going to buy my Vitex, SP & Folic Acid today. Any suggested brands or sources? I was planning on going to CVS.

It's more than just your age, it's that it is your age coupled with the fact that you are literally not able to TTC for half the year due to your job responsibilities. Those will not go away, so we need to strike while we can. IT is, absolutely at your discretion but no pregnancy = zero chance of a daughter and at 39, your odds of conception do diminish over time. As always, it's totally your call to make, I just have seen quite a lot of women (mostly back on IG, which is why I advise the things I advise) expend precious months and years on sway tactics only to end up leaving the table with no baby and thousands of dollars spent to fertility clinics because they goofed around so long swaying that they were unable to get pregnant in the end. I think back to the days when they were 37-38-39 and doing tons of douching and O+12 (or even waiting X number of months on diet) and I just wish that someone had lit a bit of a fire under their butts to hurry up, KWIM???
