Huge congrats on baby Charlotte! My heart goes out to you about you both being a part from one another [emoji20]. That happened with my DS1 and while necessary, it was very emotionally taxing. I’m hoping she can come home with you soon! I can’t wait to see pics when things settle down for you!

Srg - Love her name!! So sorry you haven’t held her ☹️ Please keep us updated on her condition!
Max - #4 is not off the table for me 🤪 But, if my husband agrees it would be through adoption and I’d request a boy. It’s a far stretch, but I never thought we’d be having a 3rd baby either. I do hope once this lil one is here, I feel our family is complete. I will not be getting my tubes tied and my husband has already said don’t do it unless your 100% which makes me think maybe there is an option for me. I’m definitely considering this my last pregnancy. So we’ll see!

Congratulations srg on charlotte's safe arrival. Sorry to hear about her lungs and being needed to be transferred but i weren't u on shots for fetal lung maturity ? U were 37 weeks right ?

But the good news is she is doing well. Soon you will be able to hold and snuggle ur precious baby !

My baby girl, Charlotte, was born via csection yesterday morning, but her lungs were full of fluid. She was taken to a children’s hospital about 1.5 hours away for observation, and she’s doing really well. We might both be released from our respective hospitals tomorrow or Monday. I only got to see her once through glass, and neither of us has gotten to hold her yet. Lots of positives on her condition though!

I love the name Charlotte. It's a very beautiful name.☺ Just curious how much she weighed? Also, what middle name did you use with Charlotte? Did they know why her lungs had fluid in them?

Charlotte is doing really well, and we may both go home tomorrow!
The best guess for the fluid in her lungs is that she was surprised at being born and took in a bunch of fluid. Her lungs are strong, and she’s off all assistance now. We’re just waiting for lab work to confirm that there’s no infection. I just have pics from the live feed at the children’s hospital.

Her full name is Charlotte Elizabeth. She was 6lb 7oz at birth, but she’s down to about 6lbs now.
