I'm glad I'm not the only one, jazzers! I was starting to wonder if it's just the clinic I go to and not a general Canadian thing, but most of my friends in different cities have had similar experiences with lack of info given to them during an u/s.

Thanks for the info! I am trying to decide whether to take it. I have a friend who has 3 girls and she took it the day after O with all 3 of hers. I am leaning towards waiting until next month due to my diet. Who knows if I will even O this month since I"m not taking the clomid. Thank you!! I think I will do the vitex this month and stop when I get my next af.

It seems to come part and parcel with the universal health care for some reason. Personally, I think that lack of information, and sometimes the long waits to get in for certain procedures are the biggest downfall of our system, BUT, my parents live in the US and I don't think I would sleep at night knowing how much private medical costs
Geez, I'd be downright broke right now after the birth of our youngest son if I had to pay for his NICU stay! I actually found it interesting (well, irritating at the time) when my son was in the NICU almost a year ago, that they would do tests on him without consulting me; gave him his first bath without so much as telling me; and not "permitting" me to look at his charts. I personally think we have a right to that info, and it irks me that we can't just see it when we ask, but from what my midwife told me, technically in our system, that information belongs to the government, and we can request it, but it's not just handed over. Weird! I am actually a doula now, and have spent countless hours in the hospital with labouring women, and it never ceases to amaze me how once you get in those doors, the "system" seems to take over, and the choices are less transparent. Wow, that turned out to be quite the rant....LOL! I do love Canada and our healthcare system though, don't get me wrong!!!

Thanks to everyone for your advice, I actually feel so much better today and will most likely attempt in march. My d/h and i had a talk last night lots of tears from me because he just does not get it ( the swaying) He thinks it is so stupid and he is so angry at me for wanting to sway.. He really just wants me to get preg and wanted to try in feb and i some how talked him out of it and so now looks like march it is. He will not help me with my sway at all and i mean NOTHING at all so i am quite upset about it but i am just going to have to get strong and try my best to sway by myself. Its going to be a hard one !!

hi pinkin hun i hope you are feeling better huni, its a shame your DH wont hep with your sway, just stay calm and do what you can without his help hun,
amari hun what dose of clomid were you on before ! in the uk they start you on a low dose to see if it will make you ovulate, im on 50g and have ovulated on that all the times ive used it so far,
ok ladies im a bit scared, my DH is having a few weird things happen, hes lost half a stone since no meat, hes feeling very ill, last night he said he was freezing when infact he was burning up ! he was boiling to touch, he was violently shaking when coming to bed, he hasnt sept a wink he closes his eyes to wake up straight away, he keeps saying he feels scared and is thinking about weird stuff !!! like ducks !!! WTH !!! and he feels very weak all the time, im worried hes taking something that doesnt agree with him, hes on no meat diet, (lost half a stone) hes on 20,000 cranberrys fresh fruit equivallent, diet coke 100ml, cranberry light 3 glasses, whats wrong with him ???

Pink - So glad your feeling better. You doing what you can to sway is better than neither of you doing anything at all.
LMN7 - I hope it's nothing serious going on with your DH, Maybe he should cut back on the cranberry. My MIL had something similar about 6 months ago and when we took her to the ER they told us she was low on potassium! Are you tracking what he's eating? Is he getting enough potassium?
My Dh has also lost 30 lbs! not sure what that is in stones. He started out at 210 lbs and is now 178 lbs. He eats more than I do but still Lower on everything than pre-diet, low sodium, no red meat and chicken 1 or 2x a week. It's not fairI barely lost anything
I hope he feels better!1815

I agree - probably techs in the U.S. are more forthcoming because you're paying for their services. I wouldn't trade Canadian healthcare for the world, and if a little lack of information is the most I suffer because of it, I'll live with that! My Dad's been in the hospital for 3.5 months with various health problems - I can only imagine how much all that would have cost if we lived elsewhere - we would have probably all gone deeply into debt helping my Mom pay for his care.

LMN7 - that sounds scary - your dh should see a doctor. I agree with purple sky that it could be lack of potassium - that's serious and as atomic always warns us, too little potassium can kill you if you're not careful.
