its definately the most crucial and most important part of there little lives as there not so little for long! its easy wishing they would start sleeping through the night but that's wishing they were bigger! i definitely know i wont be doing that this time round and enjoying every single sleepless night however exhausted i feel.

Beautiful bump pics everyone! Charlie the pix with you and DS3...amazing and beautiful!!!!!!!!!
Pinga, I got married to my DH when I was 7 months preggers with DS1! My mum didn't tell her side of the family that I was pregnant so there were some soft but audible gasps as I walked down the aisle!
Good luck on scan today, ladies, can't wait to hear the scan update!

I don't come on for a few days and miss so much!
I'm so jealous of your bumps past and present! Seeing all your pictures has made me so flippin broody! Kell I too hate that inbetween fat or pregnant stage I didn't have it with ds1 but did with ds2 and wanted to get a little badge 'i'm not fat i'm pregnant'. Then my bump just seemed to appear overnight and I became massive!
Charlie your bump with DS3 was so neat and compact and your the picture after your homebirth is just lovely!
Inglewood I too can't believe there are two in there!
I watched that 'how to be a good mother' this morning as i'd recorded it and have to say really didn't like the lady leading the documentary people that have to swear allot to be funny just make me cringe. Although I did find it really interesting. Have seen bits on EC before but couldn't spend that much time watching my kids. But the eating the placenta thing really weirded me out but also found it strangely curious. If I wasn't a Vegetarian think someone could probably talk me into it lol. I'm a bit of a hippy mum with co sleeping, BF, baby lead weaning, slings etc. Really want to use real nappies this time around. I have used most brands and we now use eco ones from waitrose but they are pretty rubbish and leak to be honest. The best value for money are supermarket own brands by far.
A friend of facebook is pregnant with oops baby number 3 and I looked at her 12 week scan and the nub looked really girly, which I went on to tell her which she was really pleased about (she has two girls adready so wasn't sure if she maybe hoped for a boy secretly). She went on to buy lots of girl stuff for the nursery and the baby (really hope this wasn't based on my nub guess)
Anway she had her 20 week scan and it turned out to be a boy and she is truely gutted. It really shocked me as I thought most mum's wanted to parent both genders even if they had a preference over one gender. But saying that If I had two girls I probably wouldn't sway for a boy but would love to have one all the same. What are your ladies thoughts?Last edited by Lavenderlime; January 13th, 2012 at 11:32 AM.

He really wants a girl too but he doesnt understand how alone I feel in my own home! I always wanted girls i came from 3 girls, most people i know want a boy first then a girl.....i only ever wanted a girl!!

I think if i had all girls to begin with, that I'd want to keep having girls because that WAS my childhood fantasy. But, that if i had two girls and had an opps boy, I'd probably be disappointed during pregancy but once I met him, I'd be over the moon happy with having a different gender then...hopefully, once she meets him, she will be amazed by her blue little bundle!
I also hate the stage where you don't look entirely pregannt, just fat, i had that with ds2 and so many customers kept looking at me ...trying to guess, and i just wanted to announce "look im pregnant ok?" LOL

Hi Girls......
Thanks for all the well wishes, our scan went really well, everything is good with bubs and it was great to see him/her on the screen kicking away - especially as I haven't had loads of kicks yet, it was defo giving it some with its legs
I am sure I saw a willy when she did the bum shot and exactly the same happened with DS3 and he turned out to be a boy so very confident its a 'he' but we didn't ask the gender. I wasn't ready to hear the words boy to be honest and I can't spend 20 weeks feeling sad especially when I don't have great pregnancies anyway so the not knowing 100% will hopefully get me through til the end. Just got to think of boys names now as we are really struggling!! any inspiration much appreciated
DH and I went for a drink in john Lewis afterwards and I walked round the baby bit whilst DH looked at trainers, why I did it to myself I will never know as all I could look at was the pretty girl things.....I felt so so sad
Anyway here's a pic of bubs.....
