Cherryblossom - can't get the link to work for me, maybe you can cut and paste the sway here and we can give feedback on this thread?

marriedmom - I had PPD with my son (not related to GD, I desparately wanted a boy and found out at 16 weeks and was thrilled about that aspect of things!), so I know I'm likely in for a rough few months after this next baby is born. If I end up feeling GD I'd rather deal with it during pregnancy and not set up all of these false expectations/hope going into the delivery room. I'm leaning towards having the ultra sound tech write down what gender is and then coming home and opening the envelope with my husband so if I do cry I don't have to cry in front of the doctor or tech!

I wrote this in another thread, but I was also going to share that I'm going to lie to my family and when I announce my pregnancy around 8-9 weeks (have to announce early, they live nearby and see me often and I showed super early with my DS) I plan on telling them I've had maternt21 testing and it's a boy. I would love to actually do the test but my doctor won't run it (and insurance won't cover it) because I'm too young. My family is already telling me daily "I bet you'll be pregnant soon with a GIRL", "hope the next one is a girl!!" "Cant wait to shop for girl clothes next". The constant speculation is too much to handle pregnant with all the hormones ! I'm 90% sure it'll be another boy anyways so I don't feel bad about telling them it's a boy at 8 weeks. If by some crazy reason it is a girl I'll figure out how to tell them that later .

My DH doesn't ever change nappies! He's mostly at work or if he's home he'd look after the others while I do the nappy

Oh I'm so sorry guys. I'm on tapatalk so maybe that's why ? =( sorry for the inconvenience.

So I had been on the LE diet ( lightly, my sodium was here and there ) 9 weeks prior to attempt.

I had diet coke and the occasional peppermint tea.

I was taking folic acid, calcium and magnesium.

Hubby was taking calcium magnesium OLE

I was putting fiber on my food before each meal.

I used represh every four days.

My ph before the rephresh was already around 4.3

I took Zyrtec before attempt. 6-12 hours prior.

    We bd once.

Dp had been releasing every four days before attempt.

Hubby had been drinking soy milk and I'm thinking he may have to stop that for next attempt. Hubby has also been on zoft for two years as well as fexo which is for his sinuses.

    Oh and I exercised.

We can't try this cycle as hubby won't be home. Think we have worked out we have two cycles left for this year and we won't be able to try again until mid to late

    Next year.

I'm really hoping to conceive this year but whatever will be will be.

I'd really like to work out something different for next attempt.

I will be ovulatin on a Sunday I'm pretty sure next time. Hubby gets home Thursday night and will be leaving again the Wednesday night ?

Cherryblossom - I forget, how many cycles have you tried already? Given that you only have a limited number of attempts (and staying on the diet is really difficult long term and you could lose too much weight), I would do the following for your next attempt - drop cal/mag, drop refresh, drop zyrtec (unless you have tons of EWCM). If OPKs work for you I'd stick with the one attempt at positive OPK. I'd normally say BD every 4 days but it sounds like with your DH's schedule that might be too difficult for you guys. Looks like a great sway, fingers crossed one of your next 2 cycles this year works for you!!!

Having one of those days where I'm constantly thinking about food and that I'll get a boy anyway so why bother. My inlaws are over for a Chinese takeaway and I've cooked myself a veggie stir fry and rice already so I can eat with them all. But watching them eat pre dinner nibbles has been very hard today and I've sneakily munched on a few peanuts but not too many. Hope I can stick to my plans when I start drinking!

GL weezie. I'm having a bit of a cheat day myself. I ate a small piece of toast for breakfast around 9 AM (after only 12 hour fast, eek), a portobello mushroom "burger" for lunch and 4 french fries OMG, and then veggie fried rice and spring rolls (the non- fried kind with just veggies) for dinner - although it's from an asian restaurant so probably loaded with fat so I can only eat a tiny amount of the rice.. SIGH... I never thought eating like this would feel like a "cheat day" or a huge indulgence, but this is what LE does to you!!

weezie- did you start attempting yet? Ours was last night so I should be extra good today but I have such low willpower on weekends!

I was watching a YouTube video yesterday where this woman told her and her husbands family the entire time that it was a boy, when they came up to the hospital they told everyone that when they met the baby (wearing a pink hat) by giving them pink lollipops.

married - I wish I lived further away from my family so I could pull off something like that!!! Living nearby my Mom is super involved (helping me set up the nursery, helping me buy clothes for the baby, etc), and I now in the off chance if this is a girl I want a super girly nursery and to go crazy buying fun girl items so I'll have to tell them by the 2nd trimester if it's a girl or else she'd figure it out by seeing the nursery when I start setting it up!

Does anyone else ever feel hopeless about getting their DG? I was browing baby names last night and refused to even look at the girl section. I just can't believe I'll ever have a daughter. When I shop at baby stores I can't even bare to look at the girl side.. it feels like I'll never get the opportunity to actually buy something from over there.

Thanks Bluebonnet. Yes I feel pretty hopeless but also pretty sure that I'm doing all I can to sway pink. We're not trying just yet as we've a night out on Thursday that will involve cocktails. As we've no idea of my cycles we're going to DTD every four days so I need to stop Vitex and drinking alcohol before trying really, just in case we're lucky first time! So probably gonna start next Friday x

Only one. But due to his work ( they've had to have him at work for a month) we can't try this cycle so that's another cycle down. We were meant to try last year so I already feel a year behind.

I have more than enough weight I could lose so not too worried about that. Although this diet does suck. Why would you drop cal and mag? Do you think that stops you from falling pregnant ? I find whenever I use opks my cycle lengthens hugely. We did every four days last time.
