3pnb: I need to have your attitude about telling family. We are always happy keeping it to ourselves, but get tired of the "you guys know what causes that right?" and all that garbage. What did the children say about a new baby? I love the party idea. I have not heard of that book either....have to looking to it, sounds nice and girlie (and I have plenty of those)
Lola: I knew your kids weren't going into K, I would cry at the start of every school year. 2 of my children went to a great public school for a couple years, but they were getting very bored.....DD1 was is gifted classes and still bored. DH had always wanted me to homeschool, so here we are. We do work with some of the younger children in the summer, if not too much info gets lost. The older kids love to read and have their own interests. Hey, I don't hate on families that can not homeschool their children, we have several friends that don't. Some people just don't have the option. In this economy more and more mothers are having to go back to work.
Begonia: Congrats on the major milestone!!! Getting to eat real food is awesome. With DD2 I was the sickest. I had to cook with the windows open. Before we had told everyone about that pregnancy, my MIL use to ask DH if I was okay, because I look so aweful. She accidently asked with me in the room one time......she is NOT observant.
Going to start my mini tramp. and weights in the morning. Even if it doesn't help it will make me feel better about myself. I had a big glob of EWCM today.....really weird....I investigated and it really was EWCM ( thought it may have been semen).

Oh MAN on the MIL! That is ROUGH! And totally something my mother would say to me. Haven't told her yet
We haven't told anyone except 2 of my BFF's. We'll get around to it but part of me just likes it being our little secret. And I'm loathing commentary about "it being another girl" which I know we will get from plenty of people.
Good for you on the exercise in the am - you're totally right about it making you feel better. Endorphins are for real!
Out of the blue today DD1 asked me why I wanted another baby (she was talking about her sis since she doesn't know about this one) and why I picked two girls. Kids are weirdly perceptive so part of me wonders if she's on to me! I am hoping to wait until end of September to tell them but we'll see how long the belly is willing to wait

OMGOSH THIS!! I'm so behind on everyone but my goodness this is exactly how I feel. Thankfully I was already used to charting and POAS. I just bought some Vit D today since a lot of places have BOGO free vitamins this week. I was going to get CoQ10 but holy expensive. So that's a prenatal, folic acid, vit d, and fish oil after I get the ok from my doc. DH will have his multi, l-arg, zinc, & fish oil.
I found out I have a protein s deficiency for sure so there will be more doctor talk sigh. It just means mainly that I'll have to do lovenox again with this pregnancy. Not fun, but if it'll get me a take home baby, so be it. I thought it may be the reason I've miscarried twice, but they were too early for that to play a factor, just bad luck I guess.
Welcome to the new ladies!Heather

Yes ladies look into Pinkalicious! There's also Goldalicious, Silverlicious, Purplelicious and I think a few more, seriously so great!

Hello everyone!!!! =)
Alexis: Welcome to the 2ww!! I pray for a BFP for you and you don't have to worry about this stuff much longer. =) With you having issues with your CM being creamy......have you tried to do the BSD to wash it away? I had to do this one time. Seemed to work for me even though I didn't get a BFP. Also I was drinking Diet Green Tea (contained Ginseng and honey) but it contains Aspartame so I ditched that as they say that Aspartame lowers your PH. I am with you, I can't stand the Green Tea!!!! So.........I went to our local health food store and bought Green Tea Extract pills. I also noticed this weekend that they had them in Wal-Mart and the price is really decent. Just a thought for you! =)
WP: Did you get a chance to work out today?? How did it go?? I got home from work late so I didn't get to work out, but tomorrow I am hitting it hard! LOL!!
Flava and WP: I am sorry that you girls are getting extra hungry. This may sound stupid but......I had the same issue. I decided to add broccoli to my salad and then I ate a baked potato and then I ate an apple. I can honestly say that come supper time, I am not that hungry. I also drink alot of water during the day, so I am not sure if that helps or what.
Tink: I am glad that Keith is soo willing and cooperative about the diet. My DH (Mike) knows what he can and can't have. He's studied the list. =)
3PNB: Ohhhhhh......the Pinkalicious party sounded like fun (minus the BIL's pregnant gf and their drama). I am sorry that you had to deal with that. Girl, don't let them rain on your parade! Keep your chin up!! (((hugs))) Congrats on your pregnancy too btw!!!
To all you moms: I guess it's back to school time. =(
I am 9dpo and a not so proud owner of a BFN this morning. Oh well! Such is life. =) Begonia, I thought of you while I was eating dinner. (baked ziti with ground beef, beef slices, and a banana) I also made my hard boiled eggs tonight. =)
Does anyone know where I can find a boy cookbook or more acceptable meal suggestions/recipes??? Also, has anyone done the Apple Cider Vinegar Drink AND the Alka Seltzer Gold drink??? What kind of a schedule should I follow??? Ugh..............there is one more but it seemed to have slipped my mind. =)

Begonia: I think children are a lot more observant than we give them credit for. I enjoy having the non-reading children stare over my shoulder while I am on this site, when I am looking at my chart, OPKs, and HPTs. The older children have some clues over here and have been asking when we are going to have another baby. TRUST ME, I AM TRYING KIDS!!! I am really going to try and keep our pg a secret as long as possible. I think it is more of a surprise if you are already 15-20 wks, but I know I am just kidding myself. I don't hide weight or pregnancy well.
3pnb: I can not believe you family would tell you to keep going until a guys have a boy!!! Talk about pressure!!! My mother is worried we might have another baby, so we can try for a boy....well you have reason to worry mom.
im4blue: 9 dpo is too early to count yourself out!!!! You may get a surprise BFP in a couple daysThere is lots of recipe ideas and other TTC boy info on the TTC boy page under the stickys. Oh, and my screen name is the same on FF, I don't post much over there though.
I did my weights last night and then weights on my mini-tramp this morning. I have a feeling I am going to be sore later.Last edited by WashingtonPromise; August 17th, 2011 at 08:46 AM.

Hey girls:
Oh my lord, I am so tired now. I really hate waking up at 6am now. And we ran out of coffee yesterday and DH forgot to tell me so we had none this morning and I'm dying!
Anyway, Alexis, don't worry about the creamy cm, if you were using preseed you are fine. The creamy may have been a post-ovulation kind, right?
Tink, 3PNB is the Paleo master here.....I think it is fine, but I drink full fat cow products or almond milk because both are better for fertility, although not better for my waistline. Are you losing weight with Paleo?
4Blue: there are some recipes for blue threads here, those are great. Otherwise, I have an actual cookbook that is probably great for blue, it's called Cooking to Conceive by Kim Hahn. Lots of yummy stuff, very nutritious and uses the "superfoods" for fertility. We make lots of stuff out of it. IG had a cookbook for blue that you could download, but I wasn't crazy about the recipes and they were just loads of ground beef and tomatoes and potatoes and I gained this weight really quick eating that way.
WP, LOL sorry, I thought for some reason you thought my youngest was going to K....anyway, I do get a little sad, I hate sending them off to school. I hate being without them period.....I guess most of you guys don't have to deal with that, but I'm divorced and remarried and so my girls go to their dad's house in the country every other weekend and a good bit in the summer and I miss them terribly. My DH actually takes them to school in the morning because I get ready for work and so I don't get sad, because even at their ages, I STILL hate dropping them off at some building in the middle of the city and leaving them there all day. I'm a sap like that. But I have tons of respect for moms who homeschool, and I've only met a couple who were um, snobby about it. But you are right, sadly many women can't do it anymore as they need to hit the outside workforce again.
Begonia, so glad your MS is on the up and up! Is your belly growing a bit yet? I've heard the 3rd and more makes you start growing immediately!

I agree with others; 9 DPO isn't the end of it! That BFP still could be coming; FX it does! The ziti sounds perfect for TTC boy, great job! And I love hard boiled eggs so much ... so do my girls. They're such a great healthy food!
I did the ACV and ASG. I did one packet of ASG af-o, and the ACV I took 2tbs 1 or 2x a day, depending on whether I remembered it. Don't take it til after lunch as it can cause blood sugar to dip. ASG you can take any time of day. And on the ACV, it is nasty in water ... definitely put it in juice and chug it!
WP, I didn't even think about having kids read what I'm doing online! DD1 can read but not well enough to figure out "gender dreaming" thank goodness, LOL! Or so I think ...
Lola I bet it is hard to give your girls up to him so frequently. Definitely a downside to him living nearby. My parents were split cross-country so we only saw my dad 3x a year growing up. I haven't started showing yet, but I do tend to carry small (in spite of birthing monster sized babies) so we'll see. Like you said I expected #3 to be insta-belly ... I bet it'll be obvious in another 4 weeks when I normally don't show til about 20. And a friend due early Oct has all my maternity stuff so I'm really hoping I can wait til end of September to need it! Go get your coffee STAT! I still drink a half cup every am. Almost need it for the routine of it more than anything!
Tink I would include the egg yolk in your eggs unless you just can't stomach it! The cholesterol is such a good building block for testosterone, and the fats are good for your boy sway. Like Lola I'd say go for full fat dairy if you can, but if not skim is still great for nutrients and protein. No breads and pasta is great and will likely help keep off the pounds! I think Paleo is fantastic and am sure Jen will have some advice on it if you need it.
This am DD1 came in to cuddle at 6 am and I just wanted to hold her forever. I can't believe she is going to be in kindy this time next week. Even if I homeschooled her I couldn't just sit around and cuddle her all day (is that part of the curriculum you use WP? If so I'm IN!) so I guess this is best for both of us
