Hi lmsm! Welcome! Feel free to ask any questions, vent about anything etc.
Speaking of venting - of course DH wakes up this morning with a random tummy bug that's got him at both ends (tmi) and running a fever. I'm doing everything I can to get the fever down (no jocks, air con/fan on, cool showers, painkillers) at least I can stay on top of that. He refused to eat anything today except for a little bit of dinner. I told him I'm not waiting another cycle, so hoping it's just a 24 bug. Bloody men! I'm the healthiest I've been and he just keeps getting sick thanks to our DD and her cesspool of diseased at day care.
Lucky I have long cycles and don't O until in the 20s.
Frustrated with him is an understatement even though it's not his fault.

So does anyone else still drink coffee? I don't really do soda, but I brew coffee every day I work (4 days a week) I normally add whole milk and some creamer I use one of those travel mugs so I think its like 16 oz, but I add a decent amount of milk and cream. Is this too much?

I drink one cup every day -- I can't give it up! BUT, I scaled it back from at least two cups a day.

I know! I don't really want to give it up. I have a long commute so its nice to have something hot or cold to sip while I drive to work. Of course I will try to give it up if it really is a problem.

Hi ladies and thanks for the welcome

MsMarie – yes, I love seeing my girls together too – they can be so darn cute (they do bicker and fight a bit too but which siblings don’t?) ! I hope they keep a strong bond as they grow older how old are your girls? Have you started the sway for a boy?
My youngest had a rough 24h between Sunday night and Monday night – starting with no sleep then vomiting 4 times in about as many hours– after several naps during the day, she was better – but then just before dinner she was sitting on my lap, and wanting to go get her sister she climbed down awkwardly and hurt her arm – couldn’t see anything but her inconsolable manner meant that I rushed her to the ER - she had a pulled elbow and the doc put it back in place: but her sister was the most adorable “oh darling don’t cry, it’s ok” while kissing her, she was visibly upset that her baby sister was unwell – love those two!!!

My new cycle has finally started last week so this is the last cycle before our attempt if all goes well – eeeeeep!
I am waiting on some blood work results that my fertility specialist ordered – so will see how that pans out – hoping it is all how it should be as I really would rather avoid treatment ^^
I think I will get onto the EPO and fish oil regime (I had only taken fish oil up until now) as that seems a good option for supporting fertility and ovulation – I will dig out the info, but I think I recall it was EPO AF-O but fish oil every day all cycle?

I’m glad you raised the topic of coffee Bommy! I still have the odd one but have cut down – it’s mostly milk anyways but admittedly I do miss it - and when I can I do decaf. Not ideal but will stop entirely (if I can manage haha) in a couple of weeks and stick to tea instead…

DancingDiva – yikes, how annoying with your hubby being sick right now – I think us Mums build up our immune systems faster with all the stuff kids bring home from daycare ..I hope it’s just a 24h thing and he’ll be back to being fit and healthy asap in time for your attempt!

Have a lovely day – its’ finally cooled down here, so though it is humid because of the rain, it’s not 30+ degrees – so I can finally breathe haha

So do you guys think paleo while adding full fat dairy would be a good way to start the HE diet? I'm starting in about a week and wonder if using those principals would make it easier. I have my race tomorrow then I will be backing off running to one a week and trying to lift weights and walk 4 times a week. I hope I'm not doing any cardio.

    Hi Bommy!
Is Paleo essentially lots of fruit and veg, lean meats and no processed foods whatsoever?
If so, if you ensure you are eating enough (especially since you are exercising) and often enough to keep your blood sugar levels nice and stable, with some ff dairy then wouldn't be bad I dare say but maybe more weathered stayers have different views?
