Nessa - time of day isn't relevant, it's the number of hours between meals.

It's probably better to eat it as late as you can but I eat light and by 430pm I am getting quite grumpy and in need of food. It also then means I have a good 18 hours of no food till the next meal the next day

What is the recommended amount of time to be fasting? Coming from a very boy friendly diet I am used to eating small meals literally every 2 hours. I am starving just a few hours in to my fast. My body is rejecting the empty carbs I think! My normal diet consisted of loads of healthy fats, fruits, dairy and grains. Each day is different really, but I would say on average I find the LE diet extremely difficult..just based on the foods I prefer to eat. With a history of hypoglycemia, I might be a candidate for a modified LE. I need to get my questionnaires filled out so I can benefit from the personalized part of this! [emoji4]

Ladies whats the deal with eating chocolate? it is considered boy friendly? Is it a neutral food? I am eating a chocolate pop tart every night and not sure if I should change it up because it will affect my sway.

There is no set amount of time. WE all have different metabolisms and needs and rather than having everyone stick to some external schedule (that I don't even know would help at all and I basically just pulled out of my butt LOL) for you guys to listen to your body and eat at the time that is right for YOU. As long as it's different than you had when you TTC your boys, it still sways pink.

I think you should up protein to 50-60 g, up fat to 50-60 g, (both from primarily vegetarian sources) and see where you're at then.

We started out thinking that we should limit all nutrients even things like antioxidants in choc and stuff. (additionally the old school sway diets have chocolate as a no-no) Over time it has become apparent that those kind of things really make no difference and it's really the biggies that matter - protein, cals, fat, and massive amounts of nutrients like that in fortified foods. Thus, chocolate is still ok. Most of us prefer to avoid dark chocolate just in case and have only white or milk choc instead.
