Ladybugs, again sending love. Def a positive that you bled with your DS'. It's not such a bad thing not having a midwife because at the end of the day they can't actually do anything about the bleeding and I can find them to be quite pessimistic at times which of course you don't need! I agree with Emily seeing someone higher up at the hospital can be more reassuring.
Emily glad you had a good time away! Sounds like bliss a weekend without the children. It's half term here and I could do with a break lol.

Ladybugs, I'm thinking of you. How are you doing today. Is the spotting still at bay? I hope you're feeling okay through all of this. Cant wait for you to get some reassuring news soon!
Emily, your weekend away sounds fantastic! And I'm so glad you had the opportunity to celebrate your pregnancy with a few close friends. That is just so exciting!
Dream of Pink, its incredibly exciting to be able to feel your baby bump! I can't wait to get to that phase. At this early phase the bloat is so bad that there are times in the day that I look like 15weeks preggo, but that is obviously not as fun! Ha! Can't wait for the real things.
Niva, how are you feeling? Did you ever get any feedback from the MDs about the radiation, etc? I assume that it was so early that all is well, but seems like the reassurance from the professionals might assuage any residual anxiety.
I'm feeling okay for the most part, but I found out so early, that my period is not even late yet... its not due until Tuesday. None the less I have some early symptoms that I didn't have last time including the very early signs of the linea negra. I had no idea that this could show up so early! Fortunately, it is quite light, but I can only assume it will get darker. I just hope it won't give me away before I"m ready to tell people (we have a lot of doctors and nurses in the family who would recognize that), maybe I'll have to break out the one-piece swim suit! I'm still feeling fairly energetic until after dinner at which point the fatigue hits me like a ton of bricks and I have to fight falling asleep with DS in the chair while I'm reading his bedtimes stories. One fabulous DH, one perfect, and our beautiful HT
Cycle 1: January 2014 at HRC: We feel so blessed and will be forever grateful for this wonderful forum for all of the support I had along this journey.

I caved and did the Intelligender test... and here are the results!
Dh is upset but I'm just kinda laughing! This test is far from accurate... but it was still fun to try it. I have been preparing myself to hear boy all along though... and I am surprisingly okay with itThat just means we'll go for a fourth LOL
Now if my nub shot is all boy guesses too, I'll be a little more inclined to start believing my sway failed....@ 9 wks

Charlee fun to try
but these tests are based on the ph of your urine and nothing to do with gender. You're little girl's still in there!

Emily so glad that you had a good weekend away. It must be fab to share your news with your closest friends like that.
Ladybugs, I'm pleased that your spotting has eased off. It must still be a worry for you, I really admire your strength!
Cagirl, wow I can't believe that the linea nigra has appeared so soon, do you always have one with each pg? I've never had one appear so far. Can't wait 'til Tuesday for you!!
Charlee, can't wait for your scan pic on Weds! Did you buy the test online? My dh is happy to stay team green, but I know I can't.
3boys, are you in the UK too? It's half term here too, but it means nothing to us but extra traffic on the roads (tourists!) as we home-educate our two boys. I'll be glad to not get the questions directed at my two, the usual being are you enjoying your half-term? My two look blank for a moment before replying that they don't go to school as they're home-educated! That's always a conversation-killer, although we do get some genuinely interested responses. Not long 'til the summer hols now though, hope we get the weather to match!!
I've been looking and looking at my scan pic and really can't make out anything boyish on it at all. It was taken at 12w5d (by measurements not my dates) and all the lines in the nether region are in alignment with the spine (which is curled a little). The only thing is that I'm not sure which line constitutes as the nub and if it's even there! I know atomic says the stats are at 90% for le diet & Clomid, I just don't want to be the one to ruin those stats!! Hahaha!

Dreamofpink.....I don't think that you will foul up the stats!! You and all the longtimers are going to be bearing pink bundles this Christmas and New Year!!!
I don't know how strong I am.....I pity cleaned my house. Taking it easy, but did the weird stuff like scrubbing the grooves on the kitchen cabinets, tidied up 3 drawers of kitchen stuff. Did laundry, dishes...cooked, you get the drift, I spent my time avoiding how I feel about it all.
How are you all dealing with the ups and downs of early pregnancy and the gender thoughts? I have been doing good for days in a row, feeling ok to good about another little boy, then it hits me that my daughter may just be a dream in my heart. Probably what will help me is knowing and then moving forward.....either way our family will be blessed and complete.'06'06

Cagirl, I'm still waiting on the physicist from the radiology dept. at the hospital to get back to me with an actual number for how much radiation I got, but it was a brand new machine so I imagine it was on the lower end rather than higher. Meanwhile I've been asking Dr. Google about the radiation risks until my head swims, and so far all the studies I've found have been reassuring. Basically the risk is much smaller before 4-8 weeks (I was 3) and after 26 or so, and most studies agree that any real risks are in the 1-2% range, so I just plan on staying in the other 98%.
I was planning on getting a CVS done at 12 weeks anyway, so all the more reason to do that now and get a completely clean bill of genetic health for the little one. I'm not going to tell anyone I'm pg (except immediate family and friends) until after I get those results back, just in case.
Dreamofpink, that is so wonderful that you home-educate your sons. I was home-educated up until college, and now I'm thinking about it for my own kids. I saw what a toll it took on my mom, but hopefully I can do it in a more balanced way -- maybe with a co-op of other like-minded families -- so every scrap of me-time is not completely taken over. But it gets easier the older the kids are, right? My little two-year-old keeps me pretty busy!
Emily, your vacation sounds dreamy! I have not experienced ANY time away from DS yet but it is on the horizon. DH and I have planned a weekend trip together at the end of this month, after dropping DS off at my parents' house. They live in VT and we're in TX, so it's not the kind of thing we can do regularly! How are you feeling, pg-wise?

Absolutely shocked by a BFP after I got home from the appendectomy. Luckily, the pregnancy was not affected in any way by this early experience. He's a healthy, robust little one!
