Fefe in my experience I've had up to six days of flashing smileys but I do want to warn that alot of ladies (myself included) have had near positive opks (equivalent I guess to a flashing smiley) when af is coming (I've not tried the digitals while having af) I know you're having af atm so maybe the surge is from that? Also with taking clomid it screws up your temps and will give you a false opk. Looking at your chart your obviously not taking clomid yet but it makes no sense whatsoever that you would see a true lh (o) surge this early. I'd go so far as to say impossible... I would wait it out over the next few days and then begin opk testing again. Just my two cents worth.....

Ok. I'm not planning to take clomid again. So are you saying this surge must be from last months clomid (residual effects)? I have to travel starting Monday and won't be back until Thursday evening. Six days would be perfect. Do you think I can catch it?

No not at all but maybe? I really don't know enough about the effects of clomid to commemt about that. However I honestly believe your having a 'false' surge especially on cd2. All I'm saying is I'd keep on testing (on plain old dip tests if you have them) as I don't think digitals would be very reliable this early in your cycle. Yes people can o unbelievably early in their cycle but its definately not the norm. I think you need to go with your gut on this and if its telling you to start bding then do so
your temps will be a bit more reliable on a non clomid cycle

I cant answer that sorry
but if you think this is a true surge then I would just start dtd eod all cycle long if you can manage jus in case. At least then you know you are covered for both normal and abnormal o times as such... even e3d bd pattern???

Fefe I wouldn't change your plans honestly but ultimately its up to you. I do not believe it would matter whether you bded monday morning or night if you'll be back thursday as you are much much more likely to o after cd9 (Thursday) than before. If you dtd sometime between Sunday night/early monday morning before your flight will that give you peace of mind? This stress cant be doing you much good either
I would keep your plans as they are as at least you'll feel covered if you get that one bd in before leaving....

I'm sorry
but when it comes down to a matter of 12 hours or so this early in your cycle I just don't know that it would matter...
I am no expert at all, I've been ttc since June last year (with two losses) so while I feel somewhat qualified (temping, opks etc etc) to give my two cents I certainly don't feel qualified to tell anyone what to do.... I can only come back to "you have to do what feels right for you, no matter what logic or science says" you know? Whatever gives you peace of mind.
