Hey ladies, just had a second US. Heartbeat detected and 154bpm. Old wives tale or indicator of sex?

Old wives tale unfortunately. My last boy had a high "girl heart beat". That's the first one I paid any attention to.
But that just goes to show that anything goes!!

At 8 weeks this baby is at 165-170. But from what I remember with DS2 it was just as high at this point. I think they are all the same during the 1st trimester.

Pebbles I'm so glad that baby has a good heart rate!! Hopefully that will ease your mind for a little while. I agree that HR is not indicative of sex, but for fun you can plug the numbers in at babybpm.com

Lol that site said all my heart rates so far with this bean is girl.. we will see! DH and both my boys say girl. DS1 was right last time

There's so many fun tests you can do.... But that's all they are really.. For fun. This time round my family insisted on doing the ring test and I also tried the bicarb soda test. Both said girl. I didn't believe them though

The heart rate was strong but it doesn't put my mind at ease. I want to get all the testing done that I can. Each pregnancy I have worried so much more (ds1 has health issues). At least now my OB appointment can be booked!
