I had a similar thing around the same time, though EBF. My midwife said to expect it's anovulatory, but to play it safer with protection than I otherwise might have. However, I had red blood and a ton of other AF symptoms on top of O pain about a week and a half before. Brown spotting and mild cramping around 6 weeks pp sounds like the shedding of the rest of placental tissue, which is normal but not AF.

I also keep having the same symptoms as you netti! I am 9 weeks PP and I had fertile cm, ovulation pains and now AF symptoms with the spotting but absolutely no AF. I am bf'ing, pumpimg and formula feeding but still no AF. I keep yelling the DH I'm going to get AF but I wonder if my bf'ing and tubal ligation may have something to do with the delay. I hope I Dont get it any time soon. Feels amazing without her and now that I Dont have to worry about pregnancy, even better!

There is no time frame for AF to return after delivery and breatfeeding esp. Can prolong the return on regular cycles. I actually had 2 cycles within my 6 weeks postpartum. Currently on my 3rd cycle at 11 weeks post partum. So this time my cycles have been crazy

Thanks ladies. Still no af and spotting stopped but having af cramps on and off. Really annoying 😖
Id say this cycle is anovulatory but I wish af would just hurry up so i know where i am at.

Due June/July/August 2016 Part 2
I have a question about giggling. Charlotte will be 10 weeks on Friday and she isn't giggling yet. She had one giggle in her sleep 4 weeks ago and that's it! She smiles all the time though. I just seem to remember that my others giggled before this but maybe I'm wrong. Anybody's 10 week olds not giggling yet??

Mommymachine my lil one had a giggle the other night but that's cause i was tickling him 😂
Im sure she will be soon. I can't recall when my others were giggling 😯
Afm still waiting for af. Been spotting on and off for a week with af cramps on and off. Did anyone stop bleeding postpartum and then spot a few weeks later?

mommymachine I remember my DS 1 laughed for the first time on my first night back at work at 12 weeks. DS 2 around 13 weeks. Isaac is 6 weeks now and started smiling a few days ago. He's giggled in his sleep a couple of times.
AFM I had what looked like fertile CM a week ago so I've been wondering if AF is coming.20092011

Thanks ladies. I had to wear a liner today but all seems to have settled again. I wish the spotting had just happened altogether rather than stopping for 2/3 weeks and starting again 😣
