5 nights Cinss and CVD - I am happy to stay that long though. I get a nice room with a big queen bed and DH can stay with me (which he does) he also gets fed for only $100 for the full 5 nights and the food is great in the private section. I think he quite likes the bonding of just us with the newborn for those few days and I enjoy the rest as well. DH will go home in the day to spend time with the boys (hospital is like 5 mins from home) and give my mum a break. My mum will be staying at my house from this week and will probably bring the boys in on the Friday to meet their sister, Im sure I will be eager to see them that day too, all going well of course. (Ive told Oliver he can have that Friday off school as they are celebrating mothers day at school and I feel bad him going and me not being able to be there with him - he is happy to stay home with his lil bro and Nanny)

Aw that sounds so nice! Where abouts are you?
Here at my hospital, depending how busy they are, they may put me in a shared room in which DH can't stay at all (he'd have to follow visiting hours 8am-8pm!!!). And if he is allowed to stay he has to sleep in a chair that sort of pulls out, I am in a single bed. The nurses aren't very nice, they are very pushy and he doesn't get to eat either!! It's not a very pleasant stay almost the exact opposite of yours lol!

Our family is now complete - no more babies for us. We didn't get our girl but I wouldn't trade my boys for the world, so in love.

In Australia cvd - Its in a Private Hospital as I have private health cover (had it when we first started ttc as I had a feeling Id need IVF and I did so it has been well worth it for us although probably spent a small fortune on it)
Ive stayed in the public section too but that wasnt after having a baby - it wasnt too bad but I did share a room and the food was horrid but it didnt cost me anything and it wasnt a terrible experience but there is no way Id want to stay long after having a baby, especially if I had to share with another new mummy - babies dont have the same schedule, I could imagine there'd be very little sleep happening x

That does sound good! i am kicking myself for not going private this time, we kinda couldn't afford it at the time so just figured i did public once ill do it again. This time i intend to take off out of there asap though, it was depressing having to be there in a room with 5 others with only curtins separating you and not having DP allowed to come unless it was visiting hours.

That's not fair at all Cinss. Hubbys should be allowed to visit whenever they want x

    Hi ladies,

Congrats to everyone that has had their babies!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, my gorgeous little man finally made an appearance a few days late. Labour went really well, about 5hrs in total. I just used hypnobirthing techniques and a tens machine for pain relief, only had to push 3 times and he was born! No stitches or anything thankfully so I'm feeling great - just busy with my three boys now!

I am completely and utterly in love with him, my gd has well and truly vanished and I wouldn't swap him for anything. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with another gorgeous baby and could happily sit and stare at him for hours if I had the time!

Good luck to everyone still waiting. xxxx
