I have the same question for you both now.....I apparently have high FSH now so I am SURE I will be on Clomid fairly soon myself, L. But, whatever helps up get pg is a good thing at this point. Bec, if you don't mind, what is the reason your doc has you on Clomid (other than the obvious not ovulating, that is)?

I think clomid helps with egg quality as well as non ovulation but in saying that when i took it that month i didnt feel i had good egg quality because i didnt have strong O pains but maybe it takes a few rounds of clomid for things to change

OK all,

I got lucky this month. Got my Smiley opk in the morning yesterday, we dtd about 13 hours after, on 4 days of abstinence. I had ewcm earlier-about a 7 pH and both had big O's. We were both into it so DH thinks it was a good deposit.

FX that this is my month! I felt major O pains today on the left side (felt O pains on right side last month!) today!

I will say though- it seems perfect on paper, but it wasn't a perfect sway. I wasn't as diligent about bsf- but I noticed that my ewcm was drying up bc of it, so I didn't do one right before bd, and pH of DH was 8- so not higher.

Also, I use paper pH paper- so parts of it (where the water from the ewcm absorbs) was 7- but other parts were 6, so I don't think I was a super strong 7- but this was without bsf.

I liked bsf last month, but this month, not so much. My eggwhites were a 9 though.

I guess it depends if you rely on fade-ins to work out your cut off. They just give smiley faces for a positive OPK and nothing for a negative OPK, that's right yeah? I will need to rely on fade ins because with Clomid I O on different days each cycle.

I'm only on page 4 so someone else might have mentioned this, but if you use the smileys you can pop out the stick from the tester and see the fade in pattern! It's a big help!

Personally I like the method many here use of checking several days before with a regular OPK, and then when you think you're getting a + confirm it with a digital.

Good point! I forgot about the lube factor....obviously, we have never tested mine's ph, I didn't worry about it too much. Once, I tested the "combo sauce" that came out after we dtd with no lube, and it was like 7 so I didn't freak about that.

"Combo sauce" ... LOL!!!! BTW that's all I've checked of ours and we've been anywhere between 7 and 8.

TTC5 I'm with Lola, if you're just now starting to fade in you might be a few days off from the +. Are you going to do an O-2 attempt or just O? Because if you're starting to fade in now, use that 4 day abstinence for the O-2! Then when you get your + OPK ideally in a day or 2 you can have a O day attempt.

Personally I'm struggling with my own timing ... assuming I O on CD14, which is normal for me but not guaranteed, I can get in an O day attempt but not an O-2 since DH and I won't be in the same city that day. What would y'all do? An O day and O-3, or just an O day attempt?

Of course all of this is based on assuming I start AF today and O on CD14 ... and I should start today but haven't yet so we shall see.

Lola have you talked to your doc yet about that FSH test and the results? Here's hoping they get you something to help out... did DH ever do the SA? I can't recall!

I'd go for O day attempt but it all depends on how long you've been trying, if you are like Lola, Jen & i who've been at it for a while i'd say go for O-3 & O day
