Thanks Sage! Good luck with your appt, I've heard great things about Napro. But hopefully you won't need it. Fx!

XX, how do you walk at home without a treadmill? I think I am missing something...

This is cycle 6 TTC for me, too. KTF has been trying a while too, I think.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

SageViolet- I started fasting after DS2 was born. I toyed around with it when I was getting confirmed as an adult 25, but I really perfected things after DS2 was born.

Here is what I did to get my boys:

Think breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, and bedtime snack.
Protein three times a day, nuts for a snack, lots of bright colored fruits and veggies. Think balanced meals with protein and carbs. I only had sugar in the way of fruit or 80-90% dark chocolate (dark chocolate chips in 1/4cup oatmeal for a snack). I also took a multivitamin with dha, calcium supplement (I don't drink much milk) 400IU vitamin D in warm months 1000IU vitamin D in winter months. I drank 2 cups green tea every morning and in the afternoon. I did 30min of weightlifting followed by 30min of cardio 4-5 times a week.

Have sex once a day in fertile window.

This is how I got both DS's. I am sending you my last truck load of rambunctious, cuddly with mama blue, baby dust!!

Xx and maiden- 36 hours is a long time to fast! Does this help sway pink??? I battle with eating disorders and that sounds like a huge red flag!!! Atomic doesn't even have me skipping breakfast necessarily because that is a trigger for me. Even reading that you guys are fasting that long is kinda of triggering to me.... It makes me want to join you.

I truly feel my miscarriage last month was due to my poor eating habits. In all honesty, I knew the only way I could get out of the eating disorder rut I was in before, was to get pregnant. So I believe that miscarriage was Gods sign to me to get and stay healthy.

I'm doing my best to stay on track. There is a very slim safe zone for me. If I don't eat enough or allow myself to get too hungry I either become more restrictive or go the opposite way and b&p... Gross I know, but that's the way my crazy mind works!

Take care of yourselves girls, please don't fall into any unhealthy habits as they are not easy to overcome!

I'll get off my soap box now.

Good luck ladies! I don't know if I should consider myself in the tww. I think(wasn't using opk's), just based on symptoms, cm, cp, ect that I ovulated on Monday. Wee dtd that day, but hubby pulled out. We were wanting to wait for one full cycle after my dnc to try. I am really nervous & excited all at the same time..

Tarasue- I am only doing Atomic's fertility diet and having two small meals and one big meal a day. I have an overnight fast of 16+ hours. I cannot IF until I wean DS2.

I understand about being triggered by our conversation about IF. Please do not relapse! We want a healthy mom and baby! I think we all have to get our mind and body in a healthy state for conception and that looks different for each of us.

I wish you balance and harmony!!

I am in the 2ww! My temp rose .45 of a degree this morning and I had a classic temp dip yesterday morning! FX that Goldie the golden egg came out of hiding!

I am trying to stay positive, but my numbers aren't good. DS2 is weaning himself, and he should be fully weaned by mid February. Most likely I will see some of you in February's 2ww...

Yay XX! I am hoping to join you soon; today I got another flashing smiley, my CBFM tester stick looks like a High, and I think I just saw a bit of EWCM - on CD12! I haven't seen EWCM so early in well over a year, so it makes me actually believe I might O soon.

tarasue, I used to moderate a livejournal group on IF and MANY of the girls in the group had eating disorders. I myself have OCD and 'disordered eating' but I've never actually been anorexic, though I've come close. I really love food and I'm a health nut so that seems to keep me in check. I would never recommend IF for someone trying to avoid an ED, as many things about it can be triggering. If meds helped you and you were on them and monitored 24/7 then MAYBE you could IF safely, but I wouldn't risk it while TTC. I have been IFing on and off since 2007 so I can do it without obsessing, otherwise I'd never IF while swaying pink. And if I get too crazy with it I'll stop.

Take care of yourself my dear, I HIGHLY doubt (as in, it's basically impossible) your eating habits in any way caused your MC and it sounds like you are doing a great job swaying pink safely. Fx for next cycle, or this one if a sperm got through!

Tarasue- I do NOT believe in anyway that you caused your MC to happen. You have come so far with your recovery, PLEASE do not let this impair the hard work you have done to get where you are! So often as women and mothers, we take the blame for things- even things beyond our control. While we may never know what caused your MC (most likely chromosomal or placental issues), there was nothing you could or couldn't do to change it. When we ttc, we put ourselves out there, at the mercy of our Creator or the Universe. We become vulnerable. While this is uneasy, this is where true growth happens. Even though we like to control situations, we only have control over ourselves and our actions. We must find the courage to surrender to the Creator or the Universe to allow what will be come to pass.

I know with everything in me, you and all the other ladies will get the child you need- maybe not the child you want. We have to trust in something larger than us to allow us to be the kind of mothers we are meant to be. We are all amazing beings- miracles. Have courage, and know we are all in this together!

    XX❤️❤️

Thank you for all the kind words and concerns! I was by no means wanting to air my baggage, I was just worried about you girls doing the IF diet. I have often thought about mentoring young girls with eating disorder issues, I just don't want anyone to have to fight this mental struggle like I have. Please girls just be careful with that kind of diet.

Oh, the mental struggle is awful. Off meds I don't think I'll ever overcome it - though I hope it will be better after kids, like you I don't feel guilty eating while pregnant and I plan to BF long term, too. So I'm hoping to view eating in more positive light in the future.

I fortunately never saw anyone without a preexisting ED start IF and develop one, so I don't think it causes EDs. But of course those who already have them are very often drawn to all types of diet, especially extreme ones. In terms of treating EDs...I think prevention via social change (I.e. realistic female body images in the media) is the most powerful tactic. Not sure that will actually happrn any time soon, though. I know there's been some improvement but it seems awfully slow to me. But maybe social change always is?

My OPKs are almost positive (all 4 different ones)! I'm shocked. So I think I might O in 2 days on CD15. Time to get busy...
