I just realised that yet again, I'm going to be away from home in the days leading up to O. It won't be as bad as the cottage - we'll be at my Mom's house, and she knows about the swaying (though dh doesn't know she knows). I think I'll be ok on the diet - I'll probably eat a little more than usual because I know my Mom's really worried about me being too thin, but I think I can stick to mainly girl-friendly foods. She wants to babysit for us one night so DH and I can go out for a very, very belated anniversary dinner - I figure if we go to a nice Italian place I can get pasta or thin crust pizza and be ok.

We will be swimming a lot in her pool, but I won't O until at least 4 days after we return back home - will that be ok? I've been planning to avoid Rephresh this cycle since I'm worried that's what's keeping me from getting pregnant, but maybe I should use it while at her house to keep PH from being too affected, or does it not make a difference that far from O?

Frequent BD is going to be awkward, but not impossible at her house. We'll be the only guests, as far as I know, which means we should be able to have a bedroom to ourselves. I know it will be very hard to get dh in the mood under his MIL's roof, but if we get the basement room I might be able to convince him .

What do you think? Will this trip mess up my sway at all, or do you think a bit of pool swimming and food cheating 4-6 days before O will be ok?

There's always something isn't there mocha? I think that's just life and I know you'll do the best you can. I know I'm always saying don't worry and I'm sure I will be when my time comes, but try not to worry about the things you can't change

I almost forgot to do my OPK yesterday because my O pains and EWCM had gone so I was rather surprised to get a +! I am a bit crampy again this morning but this month has been nowhere near as bad as usual and I have very little EWCM.

At the meal at my friend's last night we all sat down at the table and literally straight away somebody says 'are you pregnant, do you fancy another maternity leave?' and I said something like 'Why is it that I've lost lots of weight but people keep asking me if I'm pregnant?!' then I went to see if our host needed any help in the kitchen while they were all still talking about it! Do you think it's rude to ask somebody whether they're pregnant or planning to be pregnant? I'm always getting asked (mainly at work!), because I've had 3 children in recent years apparently that means it's ok to come straight out with it but I feel like it's a very personal question!

I find that rude - especially when you're in a large group of people. I could see maybe a really close friend asking you in private, but I wouldn't even be comfortable doing that!

Oh, and thanks for the reassurance about my trip this month. You're right - no matter when we TTC, there's bound to be something. At least this trip won't cause as much trouble as the cottage trip. It helps having an ally in my mother - she knows I'm on a restrictive diet so I can either make my own meals or suggest things to her that I can eat.

Had a chuckle last night on our first BD without protection or BCP... as I'm laying on my back, propped hips, afterward, the DH goes "swim, swim, swim" to my stomach. Got a good laugh after spending 12 years trying NOT to get pregnant and hoping we DON'T have a super swimmer or super egg.

Having doubts about Rephresh... has ANYONE gotten a BFP while using it every 3 days? I checked my PH this morning and it was 4.5 or even a little lower after DTD last night. I tend to be VERY acidic anyway, but almost thinking the Rephresh should raise a TOO LOW Ph to a better PH... but just making myself a little nuts. I didn't seem to see any Sways with Rephresh that someone got a BFP. Maybe I just didn't read enough of them????

Ok, need to stop. Time to go write a paper. UGH.

Are you passing up food a lot? Maybe they think your queasy lol I don't know I find it rude too, the one that annoys me the most is "are you done?" "Is this going to be your last child?" "Are you gonna get fixed next time?" NOW that's rude!, how many kids I have is none of their business they don't clothe, feed or take care of them, so why do they care, I had one family member tell us we had to quit because we were the most expensive at christmas lol really? Well I am sorry...guess don't buy them anything if its going inconvenience you lol

Yes I am passing up food, so that probably has them suspicious, because I'm such a pig usually!

    Here's a Rephresh BFP story:

Had this issue about 3 years ago at work. Don't know if it was the clothes I was wearing at the time or the fact that I'd put on about 15 lbs. I just replied that, "No, I'm just getting fat" and walked away. Turns out one of my coworkers was pregnant but hadn't announced it. Ironically she was in the room at the time when I was asked. But I went home feeling so crappy about myself and my appearance and thought it was one of the rudest things ever. So I know how you feel about the rude questions!

Thanks! Guess I should have kept reading... and I'm only half-tubing it! (I get the suspicious stink-eye for turning down wine, beef, etc. Luckily it is with family and close friends who know we are TTC so I just have to "NO I AM NOT PREGNANT YET!" occasionally and remind them I'm "just trying to keep my hormones level". They're so funny.)
