I really don't feel like did before I went into labour with ds2. Had some intense pain last night that seemed like braxton hicks but didn't last to long but very painful. Worrying I also had pains in my left arm. Worried about bp effects on the old ticker. Pooping myself about labour now. I am convinced it's really going to hurt. Dh is being lovely so need to try not to scare the poop out of him too. Wasn't this worried with my second. I think it's knowing the date. Said to my sister today that breaking your leg must hurt more, but breaking your leg is a surprise out of the blue. You don't see it coming. Stupid really as this has been coming for nine months :-)

Maybe I think it's only natural hun, try not to worry yourself too much Unfortunatly short of a miracle we all kinda know how this plays out lol.
Wishing you a smooth, quick pain free labour! Would you consider an epidural?

Kell I have insisted on a epidural due to my induction and blood pressure. Only had gas and air with the boys but been there done that - no more hippy birthing for me!

    Hi ladies,

Maybe, im so with you on the drugs side of things. I had inducement and epidural with ds1 and pethidine with ds2. Neither was a great experience due to my twisted pelvis, but out of choice i think i would go epidural next time. I think going no drugs is all very well if you have had easy previous births but if you have had rubbish experiences, going the hippy route will be scary and probably make you tense up making it even worse.

Lavender, im glad pethedine was great for you. I hated it because i kept falling asleep between contractions which meant it felt like i didnt get any time to gather my thoughts and prepare myself for the next wave. It just felt like one enormous contraction that never stopped! I take it, it wasnt like this for you?

Charlie, are you ok hun? im worried that we havent heard from you. Im thinking of you so much and also you babymad, maybe pink, indigo and chocolate as i know you three are suffering too. Im so clinging onto hope of a girl at the moment. Wish i was still in the zone of thinking it is boy and being fine with it...that was a healthier place to be!
