In Australia Private NVD is 4 days and C/S is 6 days....public NVD is out within 6hrs-24hrs and C/S is 2-3days. Unless you have problems of course!

I'm going private too...I have done both. I actually wish one of our local private hospitals had a birth centre like the public does. I love the aftercare in private and the long stay (you can get fed and looked after while you establish BF, with help on hand 24/7)...but prefer the no intervention birth centre being cared for by midwives during birth, like in the public.

sugar -im sure they are not in the US .In other countries they actually care about ppl lol and don't kick them out of the hospitals like here in great America .
Unfortunately insurance companies comes first!

Yeah America really isn't great at caring for it's people which is sad. Seems so many stories on tv and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I guess with a population so big it's impossible to provide free medical care.
