Aurora, I prefer people being honest, I'd hate to have false hope and fall harder. Lavenderlime - I've been in dressing gown all day and managed soup but am starving now so braving some chips. I can't wait to feel well again, puts me off having a 4th! Indigo - I think I was saying how I can imagine having all my boys at the table for tea and being the only female there and this being a special thing because they would feel more connected, where as if I had a girl I think they would feel our relationship would be different. Boys really take on board what they learn from their mums and I think they always think of their mums as the number 1 women to rely on. My brother has a great relationship with my mum, they don't argue where as me and my mum have loads. My mum and I have only been close over the last 2 years after I told her to stop being so full on. So even though I crave that mother daughter relationship for myself, I think sometimes that can be a biy of an imaginary dream at times.

Lavender, swaying is so energy consuming that i felt rundown and lathargic constantly...im pretty sure thats why i got that horrible psaoriasis because my body couldnt fight the bacteria from shaving/swimming. I dont think it caused it but i think it stopped my body from fighting it. Try and look after yourself!

I have seen inglewood post on fb and all seems fine!

I bet in a years time when all these expected boys are here, we will be telling each other how much we love them and couldnt imagine life without them! I hope to that we all have that feeling of contentment that we are all after.

Had offer on house yesterday, not high enough though! Fx we get increased offer and can make offer on farmhouse

The reason I don’t really comment on sways anymore is because most ladies on genderdreaming are doing the LE diet and I did the IG diet for my sway so unfortunately I’m clueless when it comes to the LE diet.. i just tend to refer people to Zanacal

Auroara78 ~ i don’t want to upset anyone, but i’m gonna go against the trend and say i don’t actually think it’s that “boy heavy” here.. over the 2 years i have been on smog it’s been pretty 50/50 to be honest and i’m sure some of the ladies who are due to find out gender soon are gonna add to the girl statistics and just like in nature it’s never a 50/50 ratio “all the time” but the ratio varies over the course of a year.. and it has been proven that seasons sway! the ladies finding out gender atm and who are due in the summer did conceive in what is thought of as “boy months” when naturally more boys are conceived than girls.. i personally believe that as we move into march and spring months we will see more and more ladies pregnant with girls as late march and forward is girl season which will bring the smog statistic closer to 50/50. We can’t look at the statistics at any one time, we have to look at the bigger pictuAre. Smog has been around for a very long time, much longer than i’ve been on smog and there are lots of smog graduates and over the course of time the odds do work out as 50/50 I think maybebaby is one of the originals and she always says from her experience the odds have been 50/50

Indigoviolet ~ congrats to your friend you never know she might have swayed her butt off for her little boy. I never told any of my real friends about swaying so they all definitely think i conceived my dd “without trying” when we all know that’s certainly not the case. How are you doing now? will you have the gender confirmed at your 20 week scan?

AFM, I got the other end of GD today.. or at least i hope it was GD talking or I will be thoroughly offended! At my sons nursery there is this boy mum who has 2 sons. She’s really lovely and has expressed her GD to me. Her mother (the boys grandmother) sometimes helps with the school runs and today was one of them days. The boy mum and her boys + grandmother was walking home from nursery in front of me and my sons today and as we stopped at a crossing the boy mum said to her son:
–look there is a little baby girl in there (referring to my dd in the pram)
and the grandmother bursts out:
– we don’t like girls, do we? We like boys! Girls are whingers!
She then looks over at my dd and says “ohh and saying that she hasn’t cried yet today has she” (Serena doesn't like being in the pram)

Like Wth?? Is it just me or am i overreacting? I got really offended and didn’t know what to answer to that.. i’m sure she didn’t mean anything by it and was just making conversation but what was she initiating? That my baby is a whinger because she is a girl? :S

Hi all, sorry been MIA! had a stressful couple of days, so so tired and Dh been 'hogging' the laptop looking for cars!

Had to apply for a loan for the loft conversion and was worried we wouldn't get it due to the current financial state of the country! But fear not... was approved today! So got £ for conversion and to out towards a bigger car. Still more £ each month which worries me, but a bigger mortgage would of equally worried me, at least this is only over 5yrs, not my mortgage term.

So so tired, my haemoglobin up a little, but still a long way to go for a good pre-c-section value. Feeling lousy, huge and braxton hicks sore....just at that stage.... keep reminding myself that I measure at 36wks and I'm only almost 31wks, so bound to feel fed up.

Thanks Kell for asking after me!! Just couldn't keep my eyes open to read many of the posts, would read a few then say I'd come back on and fall asleep!

Charlie, I understand... not sure how I would of felt had I heard 2 boys and like u would need time to take it in. Always here for you, much love xx

H&G, That's nice your mum is happy to hear my news. My mum and Dh are the only 2 people in the world that know about this site and my mum thinks it's been an amazing place for women to talk, how we support each other without knowing each other in real life and thinks that's the beauty of it all, as how many of us tell people on our lives how we really feel? She asked if there were men? Not on this thread, but there is a dad's section I'm sure.

Nope I actually haven't brought much pink, I'm being told not to my dp because he knows everyone will buy for her. When he said that I told him where to go! I want her to wear what I like for her not necessarily what others like for her! Does that make sense? Guess I'm just being a cow lol. Nope not on fb have been off it for a couple of years now, brings about bad memories for me relationship wise.

Maybe and I were some of the first smogs back when the thread started in 2008. I will go back and look at the stats but like you said it is about 50 50. The problem is that since it is a swaying thread it should be better than that on the girl side, 50:50 is not fair /good enough really since we are all trying so hard!

Chocolate~ I have often thought similarly about being the only woman surrounded by my boys. I have sworn to myself if I get my DD (PLEASE, PLEASE) that I would make sure it didn't effect my relationship with my boys in any way... And FWIW I have no feelings on gender I never do, the only person I ever had a really strong feeling about was Inglewood. Have no idea why, and I told her at the time I knew she was having girls and I NEVER get feelings/predictions.

Sunset~ I CANNOT Believe that grandmother. What a terrible example for her grandson, did grandma forget she is a SHE! and his MOTHER!! Their JEALOUS! How can they not be look at that beautiful baby girl

Ingelwood~ My mom and DH are also the only ones that know about this site. I wouldn't tell anyone about it. My mom thinks its so cool that I can talk to women also going through similar things. And what makes it even more amazing is how far apart we live. Zanacal was talking to me about my Crohns and gave me a link to a show that aired in the UK, my mother was just amazed! Oh, and yay on the $ for reno. We did this a couple of years ago, its awesome. I have an empty bedroom waiting!

Don't know of this means much I am beyond thirsty for several days now (5dpo), and really hungry right now. I still have not cheated AT ALL on this diet. I have also been totally turned onto OBEM. I think its different then what you see, but Im loving watching it!
What is the history of the SMOG ladies? would love to know the story, I only know of it from PL. I'm guessing it started over at IG.

I truly believe in swaying but i also believe that swaying is only going to work if all 7 factors are done fairly hardcore. Most of us on here end up reducing our sways or dropping them altogether for various reasons so at the end of the day we all know that our odds are no more than 50/50 really, besides the fact that swaying is never a guarentee anyway. The fact that a few girls have been conceived is probably more than would have been without any of us swaying at all!
