Congratulations on what is sure to be a handsome boy. Just think when he is a teenager giving you trouble you can tell him that women all over the world have stared at his Winkie wondering if he was a boy or a girl LOL

^^Haha, I love it!
Congrats mama! I bet he is a little sweetie. Glad you can start to enjoy your pregnancy, instead of being in limbo. Go get something fun and new for just him

Home now. I am not going to lie but as the news is sinking in, it does sting quite a bit. I know DH is trying not to show his disappointment but that makes it harder on me. He just said:"Well I had my heart set on something different but I am sure once he's here we'll have a blast." GD is a funny thing. It doesn't in any way (at least for me) detract from the love I will have (and already have) for this baby but it still leaves a gaping hole in you, one that I hope will start to close sooner than later).
Most people don't understand these feelings so I am thankful that I can share them here. I will be announcing on facebook now and I hate the fact that part of it will be half-hearted and knowing what people truly think (they pity you) but won't say it to your face.
As for the ultrasound, it actually took the tech a while and lots of jiggling to get a decent shot but once she got it, she said she was 100% sure. She showed me the three dots that you can sort of see in this photo. We had a hard time getting good shots but I do have the video of the whole thing. I might upload it later but for now I don't feel the need to. My anatomy scan is also in a little over 2 weeks anyway.

Ok, not that I don't trust that the sonographer knows what they are talking about BUT how does this scan pic show a boy? When you had the scan did it look obvious to you? (Secretly hoping there is still a girl in there)
