OMG congrats! This month has been super successful for a few long termers too, Charlee and Dreamofpink both got BFP's in the last few days too!!
So happy for you! Post a pic!
Ps if this is your longest luteal, I would count that as a great sign, and a sign of being pg with a sticky one!

yah, those were kind of my thoughts. The thing is I've never spotted in the 2ww and my temps are also always high all 2ww as well - not that those are a sure sign. This morning my temp jumped to 98.7 which is the highest I've ever had... not sure if thats a good sign for progesterone levels?! I was trying to get into my doctor to get bloodwork for that reason but she doesn't have anything until Monday so that's getting a little late. I don't want to take it either if I don't need it.
Today is 11dpo, my longest luteal phase in the last 7 months has been 9days so maybe it was more just an issue that I O'd too late and my LP never adjusted so I never had time to implant. My O was cd17 (or really really early CD18) and I've never O'd before CD20 so maybe those extra two days helped... I'm hoping there's a cancellation and I can get into my doc today to talk about it!Last edited by black&gold; April 4th, 2013 at 07:41 AM.

Oh it's very there!! How exciting. Bit of an odd one here... Just thought I'd test for the hell of it. I'm 8dpo. Anyway sure I see something, though I have had evaps before...! And I do feel crampy. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365075838.853046.jpg
What do you think?

Gulp!! Thinking there is a good chance it's an evap. Hubby doesn't see any pink. Scared to even imagine it, my last LP was just 6 days! And our one attempt (if I can call it that, was a total oopsie). Guess only time will tell. If it is a BFP then how long would I need to worry about the LP issue...?
Atomic I think we need some of your help and wisdom over here! :-)

I see something for sure! Hard to tell on my comp if I see pink or not, but I definitely see a line. I've had an evap before so I'm always hesitant to trust until I see a few BFP's. At 8DPO you'd think it would be light so I'd test again tomorrow and see!
I'm with you on not knowing when the worry of short LP causing problems ends?! I keep worrying that the fact I O'd later than cd14 is going to cause problems, and then my short LP.. I just feel doomed. Welcome to me in the first trimester. I forgot how I over analyse every detail!!!
Fingers crossed for you!!!!

Yeah I will test again tomorrow. Pretty chilled about it as we weren't trying this month but obviously the only situation I don't want is to loose a pregnancy!
This LP pregnancy thing is actually really confusing. 1. There is no real way of knowing if your LP was/is longer the month you conceive. 2. I'm slightly confused by how pregnancy is even at achieved if the lining is inadequate in supporting a pregnancy. 3. Surely if you do end up pregnant your body produces yet more progesterone to support it? 4. By 10-14 dpo you could surely consider yourself in the safe zone as far as LP is concerned as a LP of this length is considered fine. 5. None of this takes any account of reasoning behind LPD and therefore why is may or may not be an issue.
I hope everything is alright with you, getting to 10dpo I'd imagine so!? And if it turns out I am pregnant too I also hope everything is alright!
Finally with all my short LP I've not had any spotting. Is it possible that given as I am bf-ing I had a few wonky cycles and now they are getting back to/ have gone back to normal? I really hope so!!!
Fingers crossed for us both. And please pass on And info you find out. I'll do the same, regardless of whether I'm pregnant or not!!

I messaged Atomic, here is our correspondence
(Tree's message)
'Hi Atomic,
I know you are crazy in demand but wondered if you knew much about how LPD works with pregnancy? I may... have got an BFP, though I'm only 8dpo and there is a reasonably good chance it's an evap. But if in fact I am pregnant what would you suggest I do? My last LP was just 6 days!! Should I therefore take progesterone as a precaution? Also if I am pregnant, given my LP history, how many dpo would I need to be to be in the clear as far as that's concerned? There is another lady wondering the same thing and she is 100% pregnant. We have been writing in a thread I started called Short Luteal Phase. Any feedback here or there (I will pass on if you reply here) would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!!'

'I keep seeing that thread but it's impossible for me to reply on longer threads from my Kindle, it takes too much for me to go back and read every page if that makes any sense
First of all, CONGRATS!! Secondly, the pregnancy ~should~ make it so you do not get AF regardless of how long your LP was last month. A healthy pregnancy stimulates your body to make its own progesterone. There is no way to predict from month to month, what your LP would have been - you may have been about to have a totally normal LP this month anyway.
As to whether you should start prog. or not, you shoudl ONLY get prog supps from a doctor - not the OTC creams. They are not enough to sustain a pregnancy anyway and are meant for women in menopause. Your doctor will do a test that can tell you if you need prog. support or not.
It has actually been shown fairly conclusively that prog. support does nothing to help pregnancy outcome anyway (for people who get pos preg tests, that is). So please don't worry that you are endangering your baby's life from not getting it - if the baby is viable and you have a pos pg test, you probably don't even need the progesterone anyway.'
