I had hot flashes and headaches at the start of my cycle (took on days 1-5 then 2-6). Had +ve OPK 4 days after last pill both times so ovulated on roughly days 10 and 11. I felt quite bloated around ovulation. First cycle BD was really painful as my cervix was swollen and tender, subsided by second cycle. I experienced severe pain after ovulating the second time (about 4 days post O) and woke in the night in agony in both my ovaries (I thought they were going to explode, the pain made me need to vomit and I felt like I was going to pass out). I ate lots of salt and drank Gatorade (recommended for ohss) and it took a few days for the bloating to go but I was still very aware of pain in my ovaries. Ive not taken it since but have been told I may have to do alternate months but am reluctant as the pain was excruciating!! I have 2 friends who have taken it, and they've not experienced anything like me and from what I've read my experience is uncommon. Also, my moods/temper were HORRENDOUS [emoji23] and CM basically non-existent on it [emoji107]

Poptart, I have never heard of anyone taking it days 1-5 and only rarely days 2-6. I wonder if that might have had anything to do with your experience.

The only person I had with OHSS was given 150 mg by a doctor, without any monitoring.

I took it on days 1-5 (though was advised to take on 2-6) as a study I read concluded a higher conception rate in comparison to 5-9 (so did did it off my own back) My SIL and best friend were also prescribed on days 2-6 but we all attended the same clinic so must vary from doctor to doctor as I have read most commonly is days 5-9! I started the FGD and I think that contributed to be honest, though I can't be sure. I remember reading something and it made sense. Who knows! I do know if it happens again I won't take it again! My SIL used hers on 2-6 and fell second month and found out it's a girlie today! so I hope I can still take it.

Thanks for letting me know that! I think we have better rates of conception with 3-7 vs. 5-9, so it makes sense, but it does make me take pause given your experience. Glad you're ok!! I suspect that you'd be just fine on CD 4-7 or 5-9 because a normal number of follicles would start to develop and then would experience the estrogen block and then rise

no, they'd have to run a toxicology screen to see any drugs you have taken and I think the Clomid is out of your system by now anyway.

CBC is just a blood count. They use them to check for infection (elevated white cells), and anemia (red cells) and stuff like that You are in the clear
