I brought one with DS3. Yeah I have just been able to find the heartbeat myself. I tried last week but failed and worried myself silly that something was wrong. I did that last time with DS3 so should have learnt my lesson.
It is lovely being able to hear it whenever you want but in a way it causes a lot of stress for me as it can take me 15 mins to find it and in that 15 mins stress levels are through the roof.
Hope you get to hear it soon. I'm sure you will at your next appointment. It's a shame we don't live next door I could pop mine round![]()

Hi Heidi,
Yes for me this pregnancy is very different. I have suffered with severe MS (Hyperemisis) which is a very first for me. Do I think it's because it's a girl???........ I would like to think so truly I would but if I'm honest with myself I feel like its just because I'm on child number four (pregnancy number five) and things get worse symptom wise for me every pregnancy.
hope you are cooking a girl in there Hun and that different symptoms is a good sign for you2006

I heard/read something about every minute w/ a doppler is like 20 min of ultrasound. I just use monthly w/ mw. home dopplers can be inaccurate and cause a lot more stress plus if you are not experienced there are lots of other sounds that can sound like babes heartbeat. I can see how it can be very reassuring if you have suffered a loss though big hugs

Ah I can imagine it'd cause a little stress! Glad you found it though! I wanted to buy one but DH was really against spending the money lol! Aw and that's be so nice, I wish! I just wanna hear it once! Feels like my next appt is forever away still! If we were high risk/suffered losses before I probably would have bought one for peace of mind!

Our family is now complete - no more babies for us. We didn't get our girl but I wouldn't trade my boys for the world, so in love.

I wanted to ask, has everyone given up coffee. I know they say you can have 200mg a day. I am trying really hard to limit it but feel I should just give it up altogether. Any ideas on what to replace it with?
