Hopeful, personally I would want to know the gender for all reasons. Time to sort through feelings. But I think it's a personal feeling as well. So I would really discuss with the hubs! Also I need to know things...I hate surpises..I cant fake it! LOL.
TTC...what a roller coaster we have been on with you all these months. I am really pulling for you that this baby sticks. remmber HCG numbers come in such a wide range. DONT GOOGLE either it will just freak you out when you need to be healthy and calm.
Jen!!! OMG you are soo cute! Your belly is glowing! I can NOT WAIT TO SEE THIS BABY!!!!
Well I am 19 weeks, baby measures 20 weeks and 4 days so I am basically saying I am 5 months now. It feels better! LOL. I am getting HUGE!!!!!!! OMG! at night i am so big and sore...My doctor said I am right on track with weight and I look the perfect size. SO i guess my hugeness if the right kind of hugeness.

Well I'm gonna tell you off of you nub shots anyway so I wouldn't worry about it
No but seriously, this last one is the only time I will be going into delivery feeling like I know who's in there, usually we wait, that way if I have had the GD descend I can look at a little face and say 'You know what, you may be the opposite of what I was looking for but your coming home with me and me and you are gonna get along just fine
' So it is kind of instant. But this time feeling like I know who it is has made this alot calmer pregnancy which has bettered the household, but is that because I have my DG?? Would I have been ad this whole time if I thought otherwise?? See what your nub says and go from there I say

Thanks for the opinions on the gender thing. We did come up with our baby's name - how exciting is that?! Weston __? for a boy, and Leah Claire if it's a girl. DH would never even talk about it until crunch time with our girls. I am feeling pretty good, other than 2 days of being sick, then just feeling yucky (which is almost exactly like my girls) so I think it's probably a girl. We'll see how I feel in another few days when 8 weeks pops its ugly face (when I usually get to feeling really yucky). I finally get to go to the initial OB interview appointment in a week from Monday! I can't wait to get that over so I can schedule an appt with my OB to hear the heartbeat!
Hope everyone is doing good today. Jen, I was always miserable about 37 weeks. I hope you're ready for your little man, it won't be long now!! Tink, you're totally not HUGE! =)6 yrs

hopeful: You are way ahead of me, I can barely get DH to even think about names. And since he doesn't know the gender....it will take forever to think of a girl name. I would go ahead and find out gender, especially if you have a risk of preemie, I think it will bring you closer to the baby.
Jen: I alwasy love your belly pics. My belly has a few stretch marks around my navel and it looks like the sun, so I just couldn't do it. Jan 25 is Wednesday....how exciting. Either way you don't have long now!!!
Tink: Glad to hear you are measuring well, just wait until they baby really starts growing....then you will feel huge.
B: I am with Jen, I just can not wait until birth, especially once I am 30+ weeks. I am feel differently if I had difficult newborns, though. With all my winter babies I had to get DH to tie my shoes....no fun. I like being independent. Plus, my laundry room was not built for front loaders, in a couple weeks, I won't be able to fit in there with the doors open....uuuhhh. I have to watch and guide the children from the doorway.
ELP: Your getting closer, too. Once you hit 30 wks the time just flies.
Well, we finally had our calf born yesterday (for those of you that remember from the TTC boy thread). She is a first time mom and did great....she had a girl, which is what DH wanted and the whole house is over the moon. It has been hard to keep the kids away from the windows . It is so amazing seeing a new little one that wasn't there the day before.....it just makes me look forward to this baby even more.thank you GD

Hey girls! Not much time as I've got to run get the girls at school but popped in to check on my TTC5, FX FX!
Hopeful: Lovely namesI think it depends on your own personal GD issues as to whether it's better to wait or not; for me, I've always wanted boys. So whether I knew during pg or waited to hold the babe, I'd still be disappointed. It's just going to be part of my life now. So for me, I'm glad I knew in advance b/c I am looking forward to meeting this baby with no hope of it being a boy, which might sound sad, but really, I'm glad I know what's coming to me. I'm with Tink: no surprises!
Tink I bet you're not huge LOL! I just took a belly pic and will post later!
Jen: what a precious dreamOh I hope it comes true and you get a chubby one! My pics of DD2 (the fattest) on the scale at the hospital are fab ... her chunky thighs are just to die for. She never fit a newborn diaper or outfit
FX you get a big, healthy glowing boy!
WP: LOL about the laundry room! And your bit about the calf was lovely; it really is a special thing, these new lives. Thanks for a sweet reminder of that
I put together DD3's nursery this am; I have to say I'm really happy I got all new things because it was lots of fun to put it all together and have it be different. It's bright yellow and gray and white, more modern than sweet, which suits me well. DD1/DD2 had green ... for all these girls I've yet to stomach pink or purple or frills in general, LOL! Now I have to find a name ...

^^^I agree with B
Just try to enjoy your pregnancy! Ignorance really is bliss, sometimes....it's just better to believe that you will be in that 80% of women that get pregnant and have zero issues with baby
