Essnce I'm so glad you got some answers but that's a lot to take in! I hope those meds are able to sort things out for you so you can get your iron levels back up. Keep us posted on how it goes!

Sorry you got AF Signingmommy. FX for a May BFP!

    Checking in.
CD 17 and still no positive OPK yet for me Starting getting sick Sunday night with a Sinus Cold so I am sure that will just delay O even more.

I took the 7.5mg of Femara on CD3-7 this cycle but I am not responding to it like they hoped. Had an ultrasound on CD13 to check follicle size and they were only around 13mm but my lining was good at 11. Went back on CD16 to check for growth and one grew to almost a 15 and my lining was down to an 6 or 8 (I can't remember anymore). So they basically said this cycle is a bust that my body was gearing up with the estrogen in the beginning and then puttered out.

They talked about maybe injectibles next month but I am going to try to get them to give the Femara another chance. Oh and they also said losing 10% of my body weight for next cycle would have the same effect as any of the injectible drugs. I am overweight and I honestly have been trying to lose weight but don't seem to be getting anywhere, I asked if the Clomid and Femara could cause the weight gain and they said it absolutely does make you gain weight and hold onto water weight. So basically I have been spinning my wheels dieting but I will try to cut my calories in hopes that it helps.

Do you know if you have PCOS tfahn? If you have some insulin resistance then it could be stopping you from losing weight, if that was the case then metformin might help (obviously your Dr would be the one to speak to about this).
I'm sorry the fermara hasn't helped

I was expecting AF today but it hasn't turned up. I expect it will be tomorrow as I wasn't 100% sure of my O dates. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow I will test Friday but I'm about 95% sure it will arrive.

I think the only symptom of PCOS I would possibly have, that I know of would be that I ovulate later, usually around CD18 but I get my cycle every month, so not sure if that is really a defect plus I'm overweight. I did have my thyroid levels checked a few months ago and they were fine and my fasting blood sugars were good. I know if I become stricter with my diet I should be able to lose the weight. I have lost the weight in the past and if I'm honest with myself I haven't been giving it my all. So I think I just need to buckle down and do it.

My sister has PCOS, with all the classic symptoms, thinning hair, weight gain, cysts on her ovaries and infertility, she had an 11 year age gap between her 2 kids.

Ask them to check your ferritin levels, not just hemoglobin and hematocrit. You can have an iron deficiency (low ferritin) but not be anemic. I am. Ideal ferritin is 70-90. Mine was 8.

Question for you chart gurus [emoji6].

Is it normal for your temps to be higher during AF or spotting after AF is leaving? I feel my temps are higher than I remember. I'm also temping vaginally. I've also temped 6+ hours after sleeping [emoji3]. DS3 is sleeping better!

    Thanks!

Yes my temps are normally high (post-O range) during AF then they go down to my usual pre-O range once the bleeding stops.

Back from doctor. They discovered while I was there my pulse was fast so checked my urine for infection. All clear. And put me on a heart rate monitor. That came back fine in the end, the doctor said pulse was probably fast because of making me get on and off the couch and talking. Said most of my symptoms are probably down to pregnancy just like I thought but may have low iron and sending me doe blood rest tomorrow.
