I can imagine I will be in your situation tommorow night XX - I'm having my blood drawn tommorow for the nipt !! Then the wait begins !!
Still can't believe it I'm so nervous ...
I've decided I'm going to ask them to ring my husband instead of me as I don't know how il react on the phone (drop the phone , pass out , scream , cry , who knows!) so then he can tell me xx

Lol @ BB, I can imagine how you must feel...the phone call part bothers me as I'm sure every time the phone rings I'd be anxious!
Had my 12 week scan today even though i'm technically only 11 weeks and a few days. It was so beautiful to see my little bubs on the screen...it's crazy but in that instant every thing seemed real about me being pregnant. So far everything looks as it should do and for that I'm thankful.
If you ask me I saw boy parts as the ultrasound was being done, but you ladies have already made it clear that 11 weeks is too early so what do I know!!

I've had an NIPT done with my last pregnancy. My hospital has a genetic counselor call with the results. They explain upfront that should there be an abnormal result, a follow up appointment with my provider will be necessary and the office will call to set it up as well as an amino or CVS to further substantiate the results. The gender is reported at the very end before the call is disconnected. Any questions I have will be directed to my provider.
I wish they mailed the results instead, but I guess it's good for people who are not familiar with this sort of thing. I just want to know the results already! I'm worse than a kid on Christmas morning, haha!

On a side note, I've been back and forth about getting the NIPT done but after speaking to my doctor today I'm back to doubting whether I will. If all's well on the NT and blood results (which I should know in 2 weeks) then she reckons I really don't need to and should spend that money on something else for the baby instead...of course I'm anxious to know the gender too but I can't help but think that maybe I should give team green a go since this is our last baby (although I said that the last time!) and have never been team green yet. What are your thoughts guys...ultimately it's our decision but it's nice to know other's opinions too!!

1pinkplease- I think it's hard to see on the scan especially that early so don't worry too much about that . Ive got another scan tommorow so il get to see Bubs again which will be nice .
I was going to go team green but couldn't wait as during my last pregnancy it took over and for me it ruined my pregnancy the anxiety and sleepless nights but if you're more easy going person I think Go for it !
Yes xx she said to me it will be told at the end of the call after saying all ok with baby (hopefully!) not long for us now xx

I would go team green but think sub conciously would only be doing it so I can still think it may be a girl ! Where as finding out draws a line under the hoping and praying and obsessing! It is a lot of money but buying plans, supplements, swaying, pgd etc etc all does doesn't it! Anyway that's just why I'm getting nipt lol

I think team green or not depends on your personality. I know that I would be initially disappointed when I find out it's a boy, no matter when that happens. So I won't take the risk of going team green, because when that little man is born he deserves to have all of my love and affection without the cloud of disappointment. For me to be ready to meet him as a whole person, not as what I got instead of the girl I wanted. So I want those weeks and months to come to terms with my GD before the birth.
On the other hand, lots of moms report no GD at all once they're holding a real, healthy baby in their arms. Just overcome with love. If you think that would be you, go team green! Honestly I think I'm more selfish than that.K 2012
