Iluv, glad everything's ok with you! I wouldnt temp because i can imagine that temps will be all over the place in pregnancy. Also it's stressing you out & that's not a good thing so i'd say stop

you are right but in my case its just 2 or 3 days , so should i not fasting for these days ??

honestly , the swaying person in me says "NO WAY (all that work and to risk it for 2-3 days of fasting, when you can make it up later, and God will forgive me)"

the religious person in me says: "of course! only God can determine the sex of your child. if you fast, and pray, He'll guarantee you what you want. religion is more impt. besides who's to say this swaying thing will work, 100%?"

curious tho, why would you only fast for 2-3 days?

I get so warm and fuzzy on the inside when I think about March babies. My DD2 was born on March 22 (that's Cheeky's EDD, I believe) and I just LOVED having a baby in March. Spring is such a beautiful time for birth, with everything coming to life and blooming and Easter on the horizon, I just love it.

Oh Lola this post made me smile so big, thanks for that! I am having an anxiety day (honestly, quite rare for me so all the more unsettling as I'm usually not at all anxious) and this post was just calming and soothing for me

I'm right there with you on this advice ... I totally see both sides, the swaying and the religious. It's a tough call and I wish you all the best discerning the right answer for yourself Light!

yes Lola im gonna ovulate on 1st or 2nd august and our religious fasting month is gonna start on 1st august ..... im kinda religious person so it wud b difficult for me to not fast

I hear ya, there is another boy swayer who is Muslim and asked me the same thing. I know all about Ramadan, although am not Muslim myself. I think you either gotta give that month a miss, which means give the next one a miss also, because you will need a month to get back on the diet....or, like Gizmo said, you can forgo it, which may not seem like something you want to do. I personally think, if you are ok with a break, that it can get your mind centered very well, as Ramadan is supposed to be a month of observing peace, humility, patience, spirituality...you know. But, don't you have to continue to fast if in 2ww? I know you get a "pass" if you are pg or nursing......just saying, with your O right at the beginning....you definitely don't want to fast then. I don't know.....I think it depends on how much you want to observe and also sway in Aug, ya know?

Thanks, L.....DH and I are contemplating doing it tonight and again tomorrow night and just not worrying about timing but more important to catch the egg and get pg. I just spend 30 minutes scouring FF "pg with boy" charts, and I will say that about 75% of them are dtd every day, another 20% every other day, and only 5% with abstinence for 3 days. Makes me again believe timing doesn't matter, as long as DH isn't shooting turtles or blanks, LOL!

Lola, SUPER news about the +OPK! Hmmm ... I like the advice of maybe staying up late tonight to DTD early am? You can snack (protein and carbs, LOL!), watch a romantic movie together ... and sleep in tomorrow w/o worrying about hitting o+12 or getting up early to BD! Either way your timing is great, you'll have a nice abstinence! I'm just so happy you're back in this

AFM I had my 1st appointment this am and it went perfectly (no twins, PHEW!); had a dating scan and my O date lines up perfectly with the dating on the scan, how crazy is that? Anyhow got to see the little nugget heartbeat and all looks good in there. Have my 12 week scan scheduled for 8/25.

The appt left me a little rattled though ... I think the reality of it all just hit me. And I remembered last time I was on the u/s table and learned I was having DD2, and that was a REALLY hard time for me, so I think it brought some of those feelings back. I am definitely NOT going to find out this time around and part of me is thinking I don't even want to nubsess, because if it is another girl I really will be MUCH better off waiting til birth... I'm not sure I would do well if all my nub guesses say girl, because even though it's just a guess, some of those nubs are pretty clear I think.

So we shall see ... for now I just keep staring at the u/s picture ... I can't believe we are REALLY having another baby

ohh no actually i was asking as i m going to O on 2nd or 3rd day of Ramadan so should i miss first 2 , 3 fasts ??
