Aww 3 boys I'm sorry you couldn't sleep! I have been having dreams of another nature. Last night I dreamed they couldn't find my baby's heartbeat on the Doppler and I had to be rushed in for an u/s! Now I am all freaked out :-( pray that you hear pink on Monday!

Hi, Maple! Yep, Jadis is right - they label the twins 'A' and 'B' according to who is closest to the cervix. Although, in my case, the babies are more side-by-side, so it's hard to tell which one is closer to the cervix, but the doctors think Baby A is slightly closer.

(((hugs))) to you, 3boys. Of course you would never, ever get insensitive comments like that from us. I know how it is to have family that say awful/insensitive things regarding gender, trust me. I've gotten rude comments from MIL and FIL (and some others) with each pregnancy. My MIL said loudly, when I was pg with DS1, in front of a large group of people, that she was "sick of boys." Gee, thanks. When we told her we were having twins, she said, "If they're two boys, you might as well kill yourself now!" Wow. I can't believe how some people just have no filter to their thoughts at all. The sad thing is, even though I'm pg with a girl this time around, I *am* still bringing another boy into this world, and I know I will be getting weird/rude/insensitive comments about the twins. Personally, I'm thrilled about BOTH of the babies in my womb, and very excited to meet both of them. But I know I will encounter annoying comments none-the-less. It's sad, but sometimes, you just can't avoid it, no matter what gender you're carrying, you know? People always find something stupid to say.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are SO not alone in this. Whether you're having a boy or girl, we are totally here for you, 100%. We all totally "get" the whole gender desire/disappointment thing, so if it's a boy and you feel the need to vent, we will be here to listen and lend a shoulder to cry on. Anything you need. And if it's a girl, you better believe we'll all be here to celebrate with you!!

Best of luck to you, my dear. And big (((hugs)))! I'll be thinking of you on Monday!

WTF is wrong with people!!!!! 3Boys i will get that to, makes it even harder to accept this little boy when i not only have to fight my own gd but everyone elses to.

I think cvd has the right idea - cry, really really loud - shame on them and hopefully they'd feel that.

Seriously though why say those things to a hormonal pregnant woman about the precious new life she's just created - they are headed for a slap (and at least you could blame it on the hormones). I mean really if you turned around and went "i know we are so disappointed, but don't worry we have booked an appointment next week to get rid of him, i mean how dare he have a penis" they'd sure have something anti abortion to say. I think they expect you to get all embarrassed and disappointed, almost sorry for letting people down - i'm sick of trying to put a brave face on - its been 8 years of these comments and i am so happy with my boys and beam with pride for them but still its the first thing people say to me and i am sick of it, i can't take anymore

Awe that's not good your losing sleep!

I hope you do not hear anything of the sort, some people astound me with their rudeness.

Good luck, thinking of you. Regardless of gender, that bubba is adorable. XX

By the way, I know you asked sweetpea, but I can't help but say that they name twins based on which one is located closest to the cervix. Whoever's closest to the cervix is 'twin A', it's not related to implantation or fetal measurements.

Maple, how are you feeling? I'm finally feeling better! Still a bit tired during the day, but the nausea has really eased off. I only feel a bit sick when I first wake up, once I'm fed and moving, I'm just dandy.

    Hope everyone's doing well!
Ah, I never knew re twin A/B locations.. Although I never really considered twins much until this baby..

Glad your not too bad with MS... I seem to have some better days now, but still vomiting. Usually as soon as I get out of bed. DS2 was snuggling in bed with me this morning and I ran to the window to be sick. Later that morning I caught him pretending to be sick out his bedroom window! Lol. Hmmn.. He's only 2. I think by 12/13 wks I will feel a lot better.

My next scan is 27 Dec - I will be 12+5.. I'm nervous, but looking forward to it.
Yours is coming up soon! Very exciting. Are you hoping for a good nub shot to guess on? Do you think you might have a girl cooking in there?
