Actually nevermind, I tried Google instead of Google Scholar and found one: http://www.renalandurologynews.com/l...rticle/214907/
which I guess means that pH and jump&dump might not have the same effect on lowering the sperm count for swaying as it would "from the source"?

Interesting! I am looking forward to reading these! My doctor had my DH tested and he was at 884 million!! I read some where that 20 million was the average.

    Thanks for posting!

Well, I was glad to read the one disproving that low sperm equals boys, at least for me! My DH is definitely in the "subfertile" category (he is not the father of my girls, he is my 2nd husband). By the way, congrats, HAPPYHEART!
(2002) (2005) from 1st marriage. TTC since Aug 2010- Dx: low sperm count and 1% normal sperm. We are giving up and moving on with a baby-free life.
UPDATE: surprise bfp in Feb 2013! It's a BOY!

    NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!

It's not that I have a million studies that have been done that show specifically that low sperm count = girls, its that men who have low sperm count for MANY completely unrelated reasons, DO have more girls, despite the fact that they have equal numbers of X and Y sperm (because all men do). These studies DO exist by the dozens and I don't have time to post them but if you Google a few diff. word combos you'll find them. Marathon runners, bikers, pesticide applicators, deep sea divers, fighter pilots, painters, welders, men exposed to several diff. chemicals, smokers, and men with varicocele all have lower sperm count and all have more daughters than statistically expected.

Unfortunately very few studies are done on gender ratio (politically incorrect) and so we have to extrapolate some of this from the studies we do have.

The difference between 51 and 50% is to my mind, not statistically significant. Not sure I buy this study.
