    How much Folic acid?

    Hi all,
Well this month I'v had trouble sticking to the boy diet, I got tired of eating the same things so I've gotten a bit off track. If I'm not consuming high amounts of salts etc how much FA should I be taking?

1000 or 2000mg? Oh I'm also taking Clomid if that makes any difference.

    Thanks!

I'd say 2,000 just to be safe?

Cos I wasn't sure if that was only if I was having large amounts of salt, but if 2000 won't hurt then I'll take it. I have been taking 1000 but last night took another 1000.

If you take extra, you just pee out the excess.

Some research has shown that a lot of folic acid ~may~ help already-existing cancers to grow faster but since we are only taking it in the short term and it is necessary for our baby's well being, it's very important to take. (The reason why it may help some cancers to grow faster is because it helps cells to divide and grow, so our babies def. need their Folic Acid!!)
