Never proven and entirely an assumption especially where swaying is concerned (we know for a fact that swaying can change the time of day your period comes, but everyone still surges at the exact same time of day, early in the morning.

Your body ovulates when it thinks conditions are right with both food and hormones. Your body releases a surge of hormones in the early hours of the morning and then you detect that surge about midday, and then it takes anywhere from 8-72 hours for the egg to be released. Your ovary has NO memory and does not have any way to record or "know" when your period came. People can trigger their period to come a few hours early or later by having a hot bath or sex or by eating a clove of garlic - and delay their ovulation by cutting back suddenly on food or taking herbs. It just doesn't add up.
