Egg quality and gender
Hi Atomic apologies if this has been asked before but do you know if there is any correlation between egg quality & gender?
We just had a disastrous HT cycle and I'm wondering if poor egg quality results in more girls being conceived?
We conceived both our DDs 1st month trying yet in our HT cycle my eggs were poor quality & nothing fertilised using ICSI

Hi Boywish,
(Ah, so you went HT – may I ask where you went:? I know you were still on the fence a few months ago!)
So sorry to read that are you going to give it another go? Or back to swaying?Sounds like the stimulation you got didn’t do what it needed to –considering you had good blood work results and conceived both your DDs 1st trry naturally – the Dr should offer you another treatment to hopefully get a better response.
I think you will find the info regarding gender conceived/egg quality - is probably biaised because most people that do go down the IVF/fertility treatment path are people with fertility issues (hence with a pink “baseline” if that makes sense?) – so the baseline is probably a bit different to people outside of fertility treatments.
I had girls both with fertility treatments and without (TTC for 22/16months with fert treatments for DD1+2 / TTC naturally with HE diet – pregnant on 2nd cycle with DD3, despite being older). My ovarian reserve (which obv doesn't say anything about actual egg quality though) was good and still got girls lol
I’m sure AS has a wealth of wisdom on this too ^^ FX for you for your next try, however that may happen

We don't know of any correlation between the two.
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
