Allergy Medication
Hi atomic or anyone who has insight!
We are wanting to try to conceive a boy starting to try in August about 2 weeks from now.
My seasonal allergies/hay fever started today.
I am wondering how bad taking medication is and will it sway girl. Is there a medication that is better or can I use it up till we start trying or try bare with the runny nose wattery eyes.
I have tried before:
https://www.flonase.ca
Also Reactine or Claritin
But I'm willing to try something better if there is or not take anything if its a deal breaker
Than you so much in advance!

I’m currently swaying pink but just figured I would chime in—
I have to take Allegra (fexofenadine) 180mg once daily, year round. I have been doing so since my late teens.
I also have two boys. And I also always have plenty (usually copious amounts lol) of EWCM, even with taking the Allegra daily.
Hope that helps!

Yes, I have taken the Allegra daily since my teens including through both of my pregnancies it’s a pregnancy category C in the US. I think some of the other allergy meds are class A or B. It’s something you can discuss with your provider though!
Since Allegra is the only one that works for me, the benefit outweighed the risk — if I didn’t take the Allegra or used a different med, I would have constant postnasal drip which would then trigger my asthma and I would be in a constant cycle of using my inhaler. My midwife decided that it made more sense to keep up the Allegra use rather than me ending up using an inhaler multiple times a day.
If one of the other allergy meds that’s not category C works for you then even better! But either way when you end up pregnant I would def discuss with your provider

I took zyrtec with my younger three and some other old school one I don't even remember the name of...maybe chlortrimeton? But they have newer better ones now and some are Class A/B
I can't manage without allergy meds sometimes, even when pregnant!

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
