Hi Atomic, so I've been Ttcing for over a year now. I'm 33 and DH is 40. Last week I insisted he went for a sperm analysis and the result that came back showed gross oligospermia.
Since then he's refused to go to the hospital. I'm tired really and in no mood to argue anymore.
Is there any supplement he can take that could help?

Oh gosh I'm sorry to hear that, but relieved that you guys got some answers.
Is he taking any supplements now? I have some I can suggest but first I want to be sure he's not taking anything that may be harmful - some herbs are really harsh on sperm count.

Well, some blood pressure meds can lower sperm quality, but then again so can high blood pressure, so he should definitely stay on that.
While normally I would suggest weaning off that vitamin onto something that has lower levels of most vitamins, I think since he's already on it we'll just have him continue. Let's add in more carnitine and arginine, though - 1000 mg carnitine, and 500 mg arginine. These have been very helpful to sperm quality.

They're just slightly different versions of the same thing. Both have benefits for sperm health, the acetyl-l is supposedly slightly better for the brain, and some people find it interferes with their sleep and the just plain L-carnitine doesn't. It's one of those things where either one of them is fine, both help sperm, which is what we're using it for.

Sperm take 72 days or so to form, but the carnitine will start helping all the sperm right away, even the stuff that's been forming for quite a while.

Hi Atomic, so hubby has been taking arginine and L-Carnithine for some time now, and I've been trying my best to keep to the HE diet.
I want to give TTC a shot this month. When do you suggest I have attempts?
I used to have a 26-27 day cycle for a long time now but For the past 3 months I've had a 28 day cycle. I don't want to buy opks this month, so what days do you think I should have attempts.
I may only be able to get in 2 attempts during the fertile window because hubby is under some stress now. What do you think?
Thanks for all you do for us Atomic

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
