    Folic acid

    Since getting my bfp a couple of weeks ago I'm still taking 1200 mcg folic acid. Do I keep taking this amount ir should I start cutting down to 400 soon? And do I keep taking it past 12 weeks or should i stop at 12 weeks? Tia xx

    if you have a normal diet back you can go down to 400mg.
    if taking a pregnancy multivitamin containing it there's no harm in carrying on the entire pregnancy

    Wean yourself down over the next few weeks (first trimester) to just the amount in your prenatal.
    Sept 2008 & successful boy sway June 2010.
    M/C Oct 2012

    Is DE in my future?

    take through first trimester and then gradually wean off to 400 mcg the amount in a prenatal

    take high dose for 12weeks do not cut back until then
