please don't read too much into the numbers, I've seen people obsess over these numbers and it just doesn't mean anything reliable.

^^Ditto. I had draws with a singleton and with a twin pregnancy (we lost one weeks later). They were actually pretty close.

how was your 14dpo so high? Mine was 318.

would my number jump to the 2000's if i took it again? I am not taking it again.

There is no "common" or typical, each person is different and each pregnancy is different. HCG levels can vary up to 20 times for the same person in different pregnancies let alone in different people. If you want to see the averages check out the Beta Base link that Hope and Dream posted.

Normal non-prego HCG levels are anywhere from 0-5 and this can create huge differences between people. Please keep in mind that when we say "doubling" we DO NOT mean that it has to or will be precisely double, but that it should increase by at LEAST double (and if it's a little less than double that's ok too generally) Going from 101 to 316 is totally normal and doesn't indicate anything other than that it looks promising for a successful pg

To illustrate how different the numbers can be, someone starting off with non-pg hcg of 1 would have betas of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and by this point you may be able to see sac(s) on ultrasound anyway. While someone starting off with non-pg hcg of 5 would have betas of 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280, 2560 - Person A would have normal betas of only 512 on the same day of gestation that Person B has 2560. It doesn't mean that Person B is having twins, it only means that her hcg levels were higher to start with.

Ok!!! Thank u atomic!! The nurses keep on telling me they won't be surprised if I am having twins or that I'm likely, but as you said know one knows, not even beta numbers low or high before an ultrasound! The ultrasound is Thursday, oct 10 so I will keep you updated.
